Why are the forums so boring these days....where is the FUN?!!
I'm thinking of becoming an existentialist.
From what I'm reading, the whole concept is a mess. I'll fit right in.

Yep, some of us aren't immune to being banned like others, WA. Now we can't use animated smilies or any emoticon with a live link. This is one reason the forums look so boring. It appears HP doesn't want folks having fun on the forums when they could be writing more hubs.
Seriously, we used to have some great--as well as fun-- discussions before the latest hall monitors were appointed. It's best to go to other forums if you want to have some fun unless you're a greeter.
Someone could always start a new counting thread... (or else dig up that Wafflecheese counting thread.)

I think we need some drunk posters and some alter-egos who argue with themselves.. They've often been the ones to liven things up.
Coffee-drinking posters aren't fun. They're (we're) just all hyped on up on coffee and looking for serious issues and traffic matters to discuss.
Just don't get too "pest" off!

You're right. Even the Sandpit has gotten stagnant, with the same handful of hubbers, and very few new threads. I was thinking of reviving the 'Abbreviations' thread (they were actually acronyms). But with so few people in attendance, it may not be worth it.
