Yep, some of us aren't immune to being banned like others, WA. Now we can't use animated smilies or any emoticon with a live link. This is one reason the forums look so boring. It appears HP doesn't want folks having fun on the forums when they could be writing more hubs.
Seriously, we used to have some great--as well as fun-- discussions before the latest hall monitors were appointed. It's best to go to other forums if you want to have some fun unless you're a greeter.
Randy, haven't you ever met a naughty hall monitor before? That was me. In Jamaica we call it the class monitor and I had a teacher called me the class clown. Can you imagine a monitor being a class clown?
I think we need some drunk posters and some alter-egos who argue with themselves.. They've often been the ones to liven things up. Coffee-drinking posters aren't fun. They're (we're) just all hyped on up on coffee and looking for serious issues and traffic matters to discuss.
You're right. Even the Sandpit has gotten stagnant, with the same handful of hubbers, and very few new threads. I was thinking of reviving the 'Abbreviations' thread (they were actually acronyms). But with so few people in attendance, it may not be worth it.
if an atom is defined as an entity with protons (positive charges) and neutrons (negative charges) then here is a joke...
So a neutron walks into a bar and asks the bartender for a drink. The bartender brings the drink and places it in front of the neutron. The neutron asks "How much"? The bartender replies, "No charge for you"
I'm hanging about waiting for my daughter to have her baby delivered and thought I'd catch up with a few hubbers. However,it's a real boring night and might as well be a Sunday, there is so much God and incomprehensible politics. What would be the funniest topic to get you posting?
Is it me, or is it just getting boring around the forums lately? And so many people seem to have disappeared. Where is the fun? Did everyone just get tired of it "all" and pick up their toys and go home?
Just a broad question really, has the internet become boring? It feels like the internet used to be dominated by discussion (anonymous) and humour, and the outright weird. Now it feels like the internet serves primarily as a means of news consumption, for shopping, or for work based programs in the...
I am still pretty much on square one when it comes to backlinking.Other than facebook I have no other sites to really share my hubs on, which makes it hard. I think I'm going to make more hubs and figure out backlinking when I can.How hard was backlinking for you when you first started?
Religious postsThey are drowning this site. The whole my god is better than your god thing has worn me out. The same bigots claiming to be true christians whilst making ignorant remarks about other religions. Then there's the real lunatics who behave as if they're suffering from a kind of biblical...
As the title says I have been thinking about hubpages and how it has gotten very boring. A lot of people have stopped coming to the forums and everything is now boring. It's mostly the religious trying to argue about their religion or shove their religion down other ppl's throats or those who just...
