daily - approximately? I think this may have been asked before - but I'm curious to know how much time the "average" hubber is spending here - all told.
in the forums, writing, reading, etc.?
I spend on average about 30min to an hour daily here - but that's a huge average.
how about you?
I spend about 4 hours daily, but then I am really dedicated to the final outcome. I published 81 hubs in just 3 months. My hubs are high quality with good marks and I pride myself in using proper grammar. Having said all of that, I am completely dissatisfied with the small increments of money that have been earned. I truly felt this would lead to a decent income. I probably will not be around long.
I'm sorry your goals haven't been reached here. I am lucky I don't have to depend on the internet for any real income. I enjoy writing and playing with new friends here, but I don't make much money either. and I spend much less time here than I did the first 2 years. I guess I'm more interested in making my crafts things now. It's probably a cyclical thing and I will come back to it more later.
I agree with discovery. Technically, I have been here 4 years, but I truly have only just started writing full time. The account was opened 4 years ago, but I have only been on really on here writing since the end of February of this year.
I spend too much time on here, and have seen little results. Since March, I have spent an average of 5 + hours on here a day. That includes writing, hub hopping, commenting, reading and commenting on other hubs. I also have my own blog that I write on daily.
I honestly don't see how anyone can make "$1500" a month or more from writing here.
I, like you mega, do not rely on this for an income(my herbal sales pays the bills), but, it would be nice to know my efforts are worth more than what I am getting paid.
I imagine there will be a big variance for Hubbers. I spend time only in specific area's and participate in forums of interest. My time may be from 15 mins to about a hour. More if making a Hub.
my traffic never has anything to do with it! It has stayed so much the same (fairly low, I think, compared to some) But I haven't lost interest in the huge variety of hub people so that's something. I have no idea why you would have 80% less traffic, unless your subject matter is kind of a one-time reading without linked subjects - if so, then (as my hub list proves) traffic falls off rapidly.
I wasn't approaching your question negatively... but many things have changed here throughout our time M. You know how vibrant the community was before and how important we all found it being part of that greatness... but factually, for whatever reason, sadly those days and a high majority of those diverse and highly active personalities have ceased being here
Most of us still have some interest, but clearly many of us have less than before and had our traffic and income, munted over the last 6 months.. there are a large number of reasons for that.. including changes onsite, or pirated hubs that effectively leave writers feeling raped, burgled and uninspired!
For me... I'm a Kiwi.. it's important that NZ has some representation here - even if it is just helping you guys understand our accent and humor!

Bugger.... See what I mean?
I suppose I'm really wondering what is the time people spend (other than on their hubs) and then also, what time they spend on hubs on average daily.
OMG - it is all just too complicated. I thought it would be nice to know if people are spending lots of time here or just a little - but I can see that there are such huge variables, the question doesn't even make sense to me anymore.
I'm trying to spend less time here and still get all the attention I need. That's the crucial variable - right there - however much attention the average hubber needs in order to want to hang around!
and I can't even answer my own questions! becuz I always seem to lose track of time when I'm here. Maybe some mindfulness is in order here. ya think?
anywhere from one to four hours a day... I'm waiting for your program to kick in so that I can get professional help, Megan! I've got an addiction problem!
Hard to say. I am a night owl and write my Hubs at night. Probably midnight to 2 a.m. if I'm in the mood. I also read articles and get on the Forum. I find this as a way to relax at night when everyone is asleep. It varies. With summer coming up, I'll be spending more time outdoors. My major goal is to write and publish a Hub once a week. If I can write more, I'll do it.
OMG I was hooked a long while ago. I spent several hours a day! I wrote over 100 hubs while I was hooked. I began working a lot more hours and couldn't continue... I'm still working a lot of hours but since my hubs started making a good amount of money I came back to write more and google hits us with it's new junk. Oh well!
I spend limited time here now because I am a salaried Store manager and spend a lot of time working. I get one day off a week and that's usually to catch up on things I couldn't do during the week--working 80 hours .
I would like to spend a little more time but it's impossible for now. I love to write and socialize. Maybe when I hire a couple more assistants I can get some free time!
I've been trying to write at least 3 to 4 hubs a week even though I work that many hours!
I think I know some people who have pitced up tents here! LOL

Hi Hubbers,I am curious as to how long you would spend from start to finish on any particular hub, do you set yourself an amount of time to spend on it? Would you spend longer than one day on one hub?tlcs is curious!

When looking for information on a hub topic it is good to make sure that the information is accurate and that you have done your homework because there is nothing worse than reading an article that has false information. This takes the reader away from your site as they feel that it is fictitious...
