It's been a while since I made any amazon sales, finally the ice was shattered; but, even though I sold 2 items (They're ordered) my earnings show as $0. Do they have to be delivered before I get the commission?
They must be shipped before you will earn from them.
delivered and not returned.... congratulations, I hope they were sales for a luxury yacht and a private aircraft; I hear the commissions for those are huge.. otherwise good luck on your next few sales, once they start they keep coming..
Haha Leanman they weren't just $20 items. However, I did sell two $500 items 2 months back as well as a couple of cheaper items back then. But, the last 2 months fetched me 0 sales.
I cant imagine anyone ever buying through a hubpage ad, i havent had any yet, What did you sell?
I've had good luck with the Amazon program. I think it depends a lot on the type of content and the target audience.
Since I write about technical topics most of my readers ad blind but in context Amazon links seems to overcome this issue to an extent.
I often get commissions for items I'm not even promoting since people tend to buy multiple items at the same time.
Ah so i suppose people generally come across your hubs when looking for reviews and advice on certain hardware before buying them and already have a half intention to buy them when they arrived at your page anyway?
Wow, thats new. So you can get commissions off the entire order? Sweet.
Yes, Amazon will pay a commission on any other items the customer purchases after clicking your referral link. It's a nice surprise when it happens , especially if they buy an expensive item!
Once they click your referral link it sets a cookie which is good for 24 hrs. You can also get a commission on anything else that person purchases for the duration of the cookies lifetime unless they click someone else's referral link.
There are some exceptions of course, the link below contains the fine print.

You will be surprised what people buy through your amazon ads!!, I once sold a laptop through one of my xbox game hubs, That was a nice $25 while I slept!!!
I had two Amazon purchases about two months ago. They bought the Forks over Knives book that's on my Plant Based diet hub. I have yet to sell anything else lol.

We have another thread connected to this, but no-one from the staff side has responded. The recent changes in the structure of Amazon commission seem to have had a detrimental affect. While the number of sales has not decreased, earnings have halved this month.89 shipped sales (103 total sales so...

With the cut in commission rates I fully expected to see a big drop in earnings. It hasn't happened, though - my Amazon earnings are nearly what they were in Nov. of last year - because the sales are way up.Are others seeing this, or am I just lucky? Did something happen that Amazon is...

We are going to increase Amazon earnings for most of you! Amazon is becoming part of the HP Earnings program. In early November folks will have the opportunity to switch to get paid their Amazon earnings through the HP Earnings program. For new Hubbers, this will greatly simplify...

Made Amazon earnings for the first time. However, the link shows a book I don't remember posting in any of my articles. Is it possible to earn commission through my article for a book I didn't post a link to? I did read in another thread that any purchase made after clicking my link would earn me...
