Not sure what the question is. Human is the name of our species. It's a term for homo sapiens.
As regards other mammals, our significant difference is sophisticated use of language and tools and our ability to walk upright continuously. We also seek revenge which is not a common trait among animals and we recognize ourselves in mirrors. We are also omnivores which is unusual in the animal world. We share that trait with pigs.
We cannot give birth unassisted and our babies take a long time to learn to crawl and walk.
Our complex, vast (but only sometimes applied) intelligence, when compared to other animals.
Altough, we have the choice to do whatever we like, there are beliefs stop us & guide us to be honest.
the recent 2010 DNA research tells us that we are actually different from the assumed evolutionary ancestor thus debunking the assumed bridge
our emotions, our belief in the supernatural and our ethical values.
1.72% difference in genetic material from the chimps or
30% difference in genetic material from the earth worms or
compassion
We have compassion for others even when it is not always in our own best interest.
we treat our children as if they are kids even when they are 40 years old
Read my article titled: How I converted A Monkey to a Househelp Revealed; then you will understand what makes us human.
Note that, you are an image of God,the creator of all creatures.
our flaws, our intelligence, our ability to be technological and advance in society.
Credit Cards: unlike other species, we seek for things we don`t really need in order to survive
Human a great word!!
I am not a good philosopher or expert but try to give this answer in my way. God create human just by considering himself. Give a beautiful globe to leave and all great things to live and maintain the balance of his creature.
So Human is the greatest animal that have all the things, nothing missing. So if we maintain all balance as given by god, lives life happy, helps other creature and do all the task god decided that is human...... otherwise you know my friends what we are .......
Our minds... out of which our emotions, intelligence, spirituality, awareness, will etc wells.
The fact that we think and feel emotion is probably not enough. Chimpanzees and many apes think and feel carious emotions. There is only one thing that separates us from every single species on earth and that is intelligence and the ability of rational and logical thought.
Our feeling, our emotions, our moods, our beliefs, our dreams, our desires, our sense of touch and taste, our mating skills and preferences, the choices we make.
Being human is being able to deal with the ups and downs of life and never giving into any temptation.
And last but not least, our ability to accomplish whatever we can dream about.
A high degree of logical thinking and the qualifications of the mammal family. Or our DNA if you want to get specific.
I'm not sure how to answer this..
Human: our ability to rationalise.
or;
Human [as in we're only 'human']: compassion. a smile. empathy. trial and error... the list goes on...
intelligent, ability of thinking, self esteem, self respect or respect of other people ...get good education and make a good person of society ..that things do differ to animals...
The ability for self-sacrifice, when we put someone else's needs before our own. In those moments we are most human.
1)Our free will to do whatever we can imagine if we work hard and put our mind to it.
2)Our emotions that impact our way of been prone to evil and good.
3)Our curiosity to everything around us.
My contribution is... our ability to cry and laugh and make profound statements all in one breath.
The thing that makes us human is our brain/mind because if we didn't have it we wouldn't be able to ask ourselves this question.
our ability to take informed decisions keeping in mind what is wrong and what is right.
the fact that of all the species that exist only WE can exist for something beyond eating, resting and mating.
the fact that only WE have the capacity to realise that we are all part of the divine.
The fact is that we can continually communicate, generate thought with ingenuity of ideas and make intelligent or even non intelligent decisions not only about our present state, reflect on the past, yet plan for the future. What Really makes our human Nature different from all other species that God created is our given option to choose Right From Wrong, just as Adam and Eve did, and that we are subject to any consequences of our decisions, knowing that this earthly residence is temporary, since the final decision of our Fate is when Jesus returns in God's timing.
Our rationality makes us human. Animals only consist of a sub-rational element, such as desires to feed, drink, and sleep. Humans have a conscious and the ability to love, unlike any other creature on this planet. So what make us Human? I would say that it's the ability to think and rationalize to say the least.
Morality, justice and peace ,These three things are very important for being a human
our ability to create right and wrong is what makes us human, nothing else on this planet can make that choice...also, the way we care about what other people think about us also makes us human
God gave us a soul. No other animal or plant on the earth has one. It is not something people can not replicate through human construction such as cloning.

Although human beings are considered the smartest species on this planet, in actuality we know very little about the mysteries that surround us and the rest of the universe. We may have learnt to use our surroundings to our advantage to some extent and we may have become technologically advanced to...

What makes us human?

To all thinkers & other logically inclined folks out there, what makes some people think and actin ways that are contrary to reason, intelligence, and logic? Why do these same people cling to beliefs and mores that have no intellectual basis, acting and thinking at the basest, instinctive...

Scientists tell us that the great apes and humans share 97% of genetic material. Does that remaining 3% of genetic material explain human intelligence AND explain why humans are so violent?

The paleontologists have found no evidence of the existence of the intermediate creatures that are claimed by Darwin to have existed for the conversion of one animal species to another..
