I play the flute. And I play WITH the sound board at our church
Wonderful! Do you have anything available on Youtube?
Wonderful! Do you have anything on Youtube?
I do and I play the piano. I play whatever I can get my hands on.
You must have so much fun playing. Do you play with other people?
I play with my sister sometimes and my mom
I play piano; it's a hobby of mine, just like writing. I belong to a music group.
WSonderful, John. Do you have a favorite style of music?
I play the piano and alto saxophone. I use the piano for composing music and the saxophone to play in concert bands and to have a little fun at home with it.
Those are great instruments. I am glad that you are still active with them.
I play the guitar and harmonica. Should be in a blues/rock band of some sort, but I was recruited into a metal band instead. Oh well, keeps me busy!
Maybe you can start another band yourself for blues/rock. Do you have anything on YouTube?
Nothing on Youtube...but I have some very old stuff on Soundclick at http://www.soundclick.com/samislam
Mine's the piano! A good question for music lovers. Thanks for it!
Hey, Midget! I needed to get the take on assorted music for a project, so what better way to do it. Thanks for answering.
I have a slight problem...
I wouldn't say I play any instruments as such.
I used to play bass guitar and guitar but I wouldn't call myself a guitarist anymore.
I wouldn't even say I can play them anymore as that was 25 years ago but...
I use the guitar as a tool to help me write songs.
I still mess around with the guitar but I wouldn't call myself a guitarist.
I don't want to promote my songs but I have no choice really because what's the point of having something to say if your not going to say it and what's the point of writing songs if you got nothing to say.? So I am doing both as well as messing with the guitar, so I have no choice but to say so.
If your interested do a search for (TheMasterBakersMusic) on YouTube.
The decision of course is yours and I love it, thanks, Gareth.
Well done, Gareth! I watched and listened to both of them. You have some real talent. Nice Shelby that you used!
Thanks for taking the time, I try to make an effort and contribution, Shelby's are cool and you can't write songs if you haven't tried to write a song about a car, Mustang Sally, baby you can Drive My Car and a 100 others.
Thanks, Gareth.
I used to play a flute from 5th grade to 8th grade, until I went to high school.
Did you enjoy it? Why did you stop playing?
I play the guitar, piano a little bit of percussion. Does tapping your table with a pencil count?
Ha, ha, I would never tap my pencil in the way you describe or any other way because it will break the graphite core inside and ruin the pencil. I draw as well, so pencils are important to me.
I know Gareth. It's a bad habit of mine. But the tapping motion relaxing to me. I think I need to get new drum sticks.
Any way that you can make music counts. If you are learning, it is especially good to practice that way if you have nothing else to use.
i started band in 6th grade on trumpet,.. the baritone player moved out of the district so the instructor switched me to baritone,.. then trombone moved away,... then the tuba player graduated,.... the instruments kept getting bigger,... i played bass guitar in jazz band and still play today,... i played banjo enough to walk through a few songs,.....
but without a doubt i have always loved my guitar,... currently a 1997 Yari Alvarez is my fave,... my dad told me when i was 12 that i would never get it,.... which completely ticked me off so that i would learn if it killed me,.... just to prove him wrong,..... and i must say, dad was not being clever, he was not using reverse psycology on me.... he meant it........... but 15 years later, over a beer, he told me i really had gotten good, that he was proud of me,... and he gave me his red Harmony F-hole.
i only got 2 compliments from my dad in life... ever.... it felt good both times.
Sounds like you deserved those compliments years earlier. Once you get involved with music, it is hard to leave it.
well... the 2nd complient from dad was that i cleaned fish better than my brothers! ha!... dad was a hard ass... and i still clean fish better than most of the men i know! hee hee
I play guitar. Though, I am also starting to find my feet into playing piano soon.
Excellent! I know that once you begin playing one instrument, it is only natural to gravitate to more.
Guitar, bass guitar, piano, and drums. Seems I'm the same as everyone else here :}
You could be a one-man band. Sounds like you have been interested in music for a while.
I play guitar, drums, trumpet, tuba, baritone but my main instrument is the bass guitar.
Quite a number of great instruments there. Any plans on the horizon to learn anything new?
harmonium I play. It is an musical instrument and hard to learn.
I had a friend that had an old pump instrument that I used to play with as a kid. I adored it, as it sounded like so many instruments. It is a wonderful instrument that you play!
I play the Sitar and the Guitar. I find musical instruments very relaxing.
The sitar is a wonderful instrument, I do so adore the sound!
I play the drums in a band and can also play guitar fairly well. I'd love to learn the piano someday.
That's excellent! Do you like a particular type of music?
I never mastered them but let me see I played the recorder, the harmonica and I think that there was one other but I cannot remember it.
Music is a fabulous outlet for one's creativity.
I haven't played in a long time, since I was in elementary school, but...back then, I played the violin, clarinet, piano was in chorus and I even tried the drums for a short time. The only thing I can somewhat play is the piano and I'm not very good at it any more!
Sounds like you had a good variety of musical instruments growing up. Do you miss it now?
I don't miss it so much, but I do wish I took it more seriously and kept up with at least one of them.
Currently, I play flute and guitar. I used to play piano as a child, but no longer have access to one. I also played stand-up bass, but currently have no access to that either. However, bass is really easy to play; like riding a bike, once you learn, you always know how.
Perhaps, the mood will strike to play bass again. I have been known to set things aside for years, then take them up again.
