So, Josh Duggar had a paid Ashley Madison account - are people still going to defend him?

as a former director of the "Family Research Council" who pontificates routinely about how we should all behave, it seems that this man is just one huge hypocrite.  When it was revealed that he had molested his sisters, several people came to the families defense, it was a witch hunt etc.  Now, it turns out he is still behaving badly, so are people still going to be so quick to defend him - or maybe see him (and that family) finally for the huge hypocrites they are?

This is perfect. So, so perfect. Crusades against gay marriage only to show how incredibly good straight people can be at screwing it up all on their own.

I feel horribly for his wife - it was probably painfully hard to stick by him through the molestation stuff, and now this... I hope she has the good sense to get out now. Those are two pretty massive strikes against him. With four kids though, I don't envy her having to make that decision at all.

He's a hypocrite and he should be ashamed of himself. It's all disgusting on its own but add in his constant disapproval of other people's lifestyles and he is just the lowest of the low.

Anyone who continues to support him needs to give their head a very hard shake.

The only thing that would make this even better is if he was possibly looking for men.  Can you look for members of the same sex on this site?  It makes one wonder.  I also wonder who else is also going to end up being exposed in the leak.

...and sadly people wil probably still support him as they are small minded and way too forgiving....but only if it is one of their own.

I was so disappointed this morning when I came on to HP and realized no one has made a forum thread about this yet.
How amazing. All the people who defended him before because things were in his past, and here this is, very much in his present, I'm waiting to see the people come out in defense proclaiming, "sin is sin so not going to judge" or the "everyone makes mistakes".
Really how long can people support someone like this? It makes me wonder if Jared Fogle was from a loud Christian family, proclaiming their love for their god, would the masses show up to support him.
Really how can people support idiots who continuously prove..well... That they are idiots!??!

I recall Mike Huckabee defending him last time around.
It will be interesting to see what efforts are made to "spin this". According to the report I read ole Josh set up two accounts!
He also paid an additional $250 to "guarantee" him an affair.
It's time people have learn to stop idolizing and defending people. It's one thing to give someone the "benefit of the doubt" and another thing to defend or attempt to justify behavior that flies into the face of what they purport to be. I also wonder how Phylicia Rashad from the Cosby show feels today after publically defending Bill Cosby and citing "conspiracy motives" were at work to tear down his reputation.
I suppose what is even more astonishing is how these people caught up in scandals will silently sit by and allow their friends and family to risk their reputation and place their judgment of character on the line defending them all the while knowing they are guilty of what they have been accused of.
I don't think I could let my best friends or family members publically defend me on TV, radio, and in print all the while I'm sitting silently guilty and making fools out of them for supporting me.

This must be such a big blow to his family and wife. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing. His wife his home making babies and a creating a safe loving environment for the children and he's catting around like he was single.

Will she stand by her man or come to her senses? I wouldn't be surprised if there is still more dirt yet to be revealed.

Let's get that proverbial shovel, there's probably more beneath the familial surface.  Waiting for that tell all book about them.

The first reveal of information was from when he was much younger, many many years ago.  Not that it excuses the past behavior, but it at least led me to believe that he had repented and turned his life towards being a loving husband and father.  Obviously, the new revelations have revealed that unfortunately, Josh has not been practicing what he has been preaching, which by society's standards, is seemingly one of the worst things a person can do, especially in a religious context it seems (condemn others behavior while participating yourself).  I think everyone involved with a cheat website should come under fire, but since he has put himself on a higher pedestal and previously condemned the very actions he is partaking in, he definitely is having a hard fall, and rightly so.
