   Revealed: Sarah Palin doesnt have a clue how to fish or shoot, the foreign desk
   
   ...One of the most damning allegations ever levelled against Sarah Palin came when daughter Bristols ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnson, told Vanity Fair that this self-proclaimed outdoorswoman has lied about her interest in fieldsports and doesnt actually know one end of a fishing rod from another.
   
   People think that Sarah likes hunting, fishing and camping, but she doesnt, he told the magazine. Ive never seen her touch a fishing pole. She had a gun in her bedroom, and one day she asked me to show her how to shoot it.
   
   At the time, Johnstons comments were dismissed as the embittered  of an attention-seeking teenager who had an axe to grind and a liberal media outlet willing to help him.
   
   However this Sunday, Americas favourite Mamma  Grizzly will launch her reality TV show, Sarah Palins Alaska. And by the look of trailers screened here by TLC, Mr Johnstons comments appear to bang on the money....

   I don't know about the shooting, but I've seen her fishing on videos. We might all be safer if Palin DOESN"T know how to fire a gun! lol

   I'm not a Palin fan, but I AM a fair person. I watched the trailer and honestly saw no evidence that Palin doesn't know how to fish. Think she holds her rod funny? So do I, and I've been fishing in salt water and fresh water since I was 3 years old. Randy Gowdin ALWAYS makes fun of the way I hold my rod whenver we fish together! lol

   There was a profile of her in Vanity Fair awhile back that claimed (based on interviews from Wasilla residents, I believe) that she doesn't really hunt. ~shrugs~ Personally, I'm more surprised that people are surprised that a politician has a public persona that doesn't necessarily reflect reality.

   I find it very amusing that the left wingers so vociferously attack Sarah Palin for any little thing regardless how trivial! For all their protestations about treating people fairly and so on, the get extremely vicious when it comes to Palin or Bush.
   Pretty sure Obama and Biden have very little or no clue on how to hunt or fish and they still voted for them.
   Levi Johnston will say or do anything to keep in the public eye.
   Same way for Sarah Palin.  Only she has a little more credibility than he.  She was a governer of a state and all he ever did was get her daughter pregnant.  Hell of a resume!
   I like Sarah as a person.  As a politician I'm not nearly as enamored with her.  She would probably be more successful if she remains a spokesperson rather than a candidate.  And so would the rest of us.
   And MM, I don't recall any right winger suggesting Obama be harmed by anyone.  That would have brought out the racist label.  So your hinting that Cheney shoot Palin would be labeled sexist?

   I agree, she is making a joke of herself on her reality show. I do not understand why she think she can do these things because she live in Alaska. There are lots of people living in rural areas; that do not mean they know everything or how to do everything that rural living calls for.

    Funny--I have never been able to see why so many people are so into Sarah Palin----I Don't Have A Clue!! She has never once appeared to me  as the "Brightest Bulb" in the pack..I have nothing against her as a human I have no dis respect for her ( TO EACH HER/HIS OWN I just think she is getting to silly and the excitement of the attention from the press..and people has gone to her head..Just my Opinion....I'm not a hater...one thing i can say is she always seems to have a "positive" attitude--but sometimes she acts as if she is so far above the average human -----I THINK NOT!
