Nic Cage is in the film during which I spontaneously proposed to my wife Paula
THE FAMILY MAN with Tea Leoni
She was in Bad Boys (1995) with Martin Lawrence.
(Just after she swings a bat at Martin Lawrence)
>You're not what I expected.
>Well I didn't expect to walk into the Yankees stadium either.
Which one is it? Eddie or Arsenio....never mind
James Earl Jones was in Coming To America with both Eddie and Arsenio
James Earl Jones starred with Mark Hamil in Stars Wars episodes 4,5 and 6. Ever famous classic line from the film: "Luke, I am your father."
*Cheers*
Mark Hamill was in Village Of The Damned, with Christopher Reeve.
That doesnt really add a new person since it is just a character he played, but Tom Welling also plays Clark Kent in the TV version of Superman.
Tom Welling starred with Bonnie Hunt in Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. At the end of the first movie they show bloopers, in one of the scenes they show, Welling plants a kiss on Hunt. It's so funny.
STEVE MARTIN starred with Bonnie Hunt in both Cheaper by the Dozen movies
You've almost got it Dottie but you don't wanna use the same movies as the previous person either. The object (as I understand it) is to surprise the next reader with the references between people.
That's what made Lady Luthi's volley so great, she bridged an old guy with a younger woman that some people might not have seen the connection.
You have played Steve Martin
I will volley with Ellen Greene a/k/a Audrey from LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
Now it's challenging for the next person. Get it?
Creative links bewteen celebs not "who was in what movie".
The only other rule is you can't repeat celebs from earlier in the thread.
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day is a new starring mr. pace and
the adorable AMY ADAMS.
....who directed ET and was Drew Barrymores first movie.
Wow...Miss Barrymore has done a ton of films so I'm going to choose Dana Carvey. They were both in the film Wayne's World 2. She had a small role where she played Bjergen Kjergen a receptionist.
Btw DJ, didn't you mean a younger guy with an older woman? The reason I ask is because Bonnie Hunt is older then Tom Welling. But I'm sure she'd appreciate being called a younger woman.
Phil Hartman voiced numerous characters in the Simpsons (Lionel Hutz, Troy McClure) as did Dan Castellaneta
William Hurt - appeared in the movie I love you to death with Tracy Ullman
CANDICE BERGEN starred in Murphy Brown with Robert Pastorelli
Candace Bergen starred with William Shatner in Miss Congeniality.
Who in turn, starred with Deforest Kelly in Star Trek. "Dammit Jim! I'm a doctor, not a (insert obscure profession here)!"
Who had a role in an installment of "You Are There" with Walter Cronkite...
Who was suzanne Stone's hero (and the name of her dog) as portrayed by NICOLE KIDMAN in To Die For
Which we all know was based loosely on the life of a NH school teacher that had a student kill her husband...so II'll counter with PAMELA SMART who was portrayed by Nicole Kidman in the same movie.
Helen Hunt also played Pamela Smart in a tv movie - Murder in New Hampshire.

McCarthy was in Mrs. Parker & The Vicious Circle
along with an unkown but topless Gwyneth Paltrow. (1994)
There! I feel like my mahood has been restored.
One of my all time favorite movies, The Shawshank Redemption has Morgan Freeman in it with...
Tim Robbins
She was also in Dead man walking, with R. Lee Ermey. That guy shows up in the darndest places.
R. Lee Ermey played Sheriff Hoyt in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with ANDREW BRYNIARSKI who played Leatherface.
Unless I'm mistaken, I believe Andrew Bryniarski was in Rollerball, with Jean Reno, circa 2002.
Monsieur Jean Reno starred with Stellan SkarsgÄrd in Ronin.
DJ: I'm not a huge McCarthy fan. It was the first movie I thought of with Ms. Catrall and I'm glad that you were able to restore you're manhood.
Samuel L. Jackson was also in the 2006 drama film "Home of the Brave" (following the lives of 4 American Soldiers in Iraq and their return to the U.S.) with BRIAN PRESLEY.
James Woods was a guest star on Family Guy and so was Adam Corrolla!
Alyson Hannigan was on Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Seth Green.
As well as James Marsters...aka Spike, William the Bloody...who was my sole reason for watching the show.
Aww Mr. Marsters played Detective Grant Mars on Without a Trace with Anthony LaPaglia (my favorite film with him in it is Empire Records).
And Anthony LaPaglia played with Mike Myers in So I Married An Axe Murderer.
"Head, Go cry yourself to sleep on your Huge Pillow"
Mike Myers in Austin Powers: Goldmember
with shagadelic Beyonce Knowles as Foxy Cleopatra .....yeaaaah baby!
Do you even understand the game? How is Beyonce and Liz Taylor linked? Its not even the same Cleopatra!!
Dobson in Cleopatra Jones with Anthony Fargas
But it's still Cleopatra, I think that should be allowed
It's kinda boring just going "oh, this person was in a movie with this person" over and over again. If that's the best I can do, just think of another actor who was in something with that person, then I pass. I look for slightly more creative ways to make connections.
You DID say that the point was to find surprising connections, after all, and it's not really surprising that any two actors were in a movie together, is it?
Much more surprising that two such different people (Beyonce and Lz Taylor) have ANYTHING in common, even it if just that they played characters of the same name.
Jenny
P.S. The traditional way of playing X degrees of separation is to say "this person and that person, 3 steps" and then people actually have to THINK and RESEARCH to solve the puzzle, which is what makes it fun. But you started the thread so you get to make the rules. I will contribute whenever I think of a connection that's surprising.
And Tamara Dobson played Cleopatra Jones in the blaxploitation flick of the same name. (Foxxy Cleopatra was actually a parody of that character!)

Okay for all movie buffs out there, here's a game for us.. it's called... okay, so you know! i'll start and whoever gets to answer shall ask the next question to get the thread rolling... for those unfamiliar with how the game goes, here's a sample: Q: William Shatner & Halle Berry? * Now to...

This game is simple. An actor must be connected to Kevin Bacon in less than six moves.EXAMPLE:If the actor given was Walter MatthauYou would say..Walter Matthau was in JFK with Kevin Bacon and you would be done in one move. (Which is ideal)JFK is the one movie that is every players best friend...

Do you pose questions or discussion topics both here and in the forum?Often times, I want to spark a conversation. I really want to know peoples' opinions and thoughts, and I want to see both sides of it, so I'll try and pose a question here. However, The more familiar I am getting with the forum,...
