Short story:Daddy's Love! Not Again!

Updated on March 9, 2014

Daddy’s Love!

It all felt just like if it was only yesterday where Daddy and his little girl were enjoying a walk. He felt so proud of his little girl, how she had grown, that sometimes he would become almost dumbfounded, looking at her.

She was his light in what he had long considered to be a very dark world he was living in.

The words were always there, but still, he held this reservation for his family! He felt like if he was being treathened and tormented by the Devil himself.

After losing his two sons, they were both killed in an automobile accident coming home from a football game. This bought on a type of fear ever since, which caused Dad to be suffering with quite a lot of nervous ailments. But he was quite a strong believer in God, and since that accident, he was even more so.

Now his only daughter had just reached an age where she was able to be driving , but with a another driver present. Dad's fears have again started running a mock in his life. He would try to do every possible favor, his daughter would need, he would always pray with the family, asking the Most High to guide and protect them all . His beautiful family.

At times when she was younger, he would get so worried; he sometimes could not speak, his mind would keep on racing, he didn't know what he would do, if she was ever to be taken away abruptly from him.

But he quickly realized that only God would understand what his daughter meant to him , because he did not ask for things to be that way with him. All he ever wanted was a beautiful God fearing family, and with God’s grace he would do everything in his power to have it that way.

His beautiful daughter was now grown up , and he would always give thanks and praises to God, for all his blessing, and that his daughter had now grown up and getting ready to go off to this Christian college of her choice.

He would always joke with his wife , boasting about her height and , teasing his wife how much more beautiful than her she is, but his wife will say in return , that she looks like her, so he must Give thanks, and it was so , she looked more like her mother. Taller than her Mom, but they looked almost identical in every other comparism. Sometimes so difficult for people in telling them apart, they actually loved it, and it became something the expected from people.

A little in the voice would at time tell that difference, as her mother’s voice was more seasoned and matured , see being a member in the church choir for twenty years played its part..

He would always called her Daddy's beautiful daughter and they would laugh as he would

Always confirm his love and admiration to God and them also. Sometimes while looking at her he would smile, and then shake his head. She would return a smile, and walk up too him for their special hug!

This day Daddy picked had picked her up on his way home from work. She had timed her day at the library real well, so her Dad won’t have to wait, although she knew that he would be more than happy to wait, all day if need be, and without a frown. She knew he is the greatest Dad any daughter could ever have and she was overly proud of him.

Mom has already told her that dinner this day, was fast food. She must pick up some

Chinese food at their favorite spot, on her way home, so she told dad and all was well.

Since she had already ordered, and the neighborhood restaurant was also on the way it should all work out fine.

As they pulled up to the restaurant daddy’s little girl did not hesitate, for she was also hungry, and she love the food at this place, and they knew her well. She walked into the store, while dad waited in the car across the street, for the restaurant also shared parking with a laundry mart and a convenience store, and all the parking was filled. As Dad waited, five minutes had passed and Daddy was just about

To exit the car as he saw his daughter, coming out the restaurant with what looked like a hand around her neck, this person looked dangerous and not a face he had seen before. He was holding something to her head, he could not she, before he could realize what was really happening, she glanced in the direction where Daddy was parked, he saw a red car and they went into the car and sped away before he could even exit his car.

He decided to follow the car as they, did not noticed that he was following them. He dialed 911 and told the operator what was happening and answered all her questions while chasing the red car with tinted windows.

Daddy’s Love!
