Stress definitely makes a person ill. Mostly because he/she is not psychologically at ease, is worrying about one or more things thus is unable to relax the body or mind. This in turn affect the body & at the same time makes you feel ill in numerous ways.
How you feel stressed usually varies from person to person, some tend to eat to de-stress while some like to hide in their bed from the big bad world.
Either way stress does affects a person in a negative & maybe harmful way. So all you men & women out there, be happy & enjoy the small joys of life. You have much more than some who actually dream to have.
    Cheers

Alien babies need love too you guys.

I walk my dog to relieve stress. We go to this big nature preserve about a mile down the road. It's wonderful. I don't even think a single thought, just listen to the birds and the wind for an hour each and every day. smile

As for stress, if no significant other (or significant playmate) is available: nice long walks, bellydancing, or masturbation (order varies depending on mood) :-D.

Oh yes. Stress can suppress the immune system, bring about illness, and prolong current illnesses. Lowering your stress has numerous health benefits!

In order to lower stress I do a lot of things. Working two jobs and being in college, my level of stress is pretty high. I keep things organized and try not to procrastinate, definitely keeps stress down. I exercise and eat healthy. My body goes crazy if I don't eat healthy. I go to the beach when I am stressed and just need to chill. I try to have "me" time as much as possible. Bubble baths and John Mayer have gotten me through a lot. I'm sure a bubble bath with John Mayer would get me through the rest of my year!

Environments can totally effect people's moods. The weather, wall color, scents, sounds... all have been shown to effect people's moods.

Stress? Who is stressed? Not me, no, no, no, not at all! Cough, cough. (Oops, don't cough too loud or you'll get arrested for having swine flu.)

Sorry, it's late... yes, stress can make you sick, but more importantly, being sick can leave you filled to the brim with stress. Don't believe me? Try being sick when you have young children and you'll understand that statement. There's no rest for a sick mom.

lolzz.. thats all very true Joelle. Kids for some reason have this idea that moms never get tired or sick ever that makes it all the more difficult!
