Who would you let go if they were hanging off a cliff. Your mother in law or your wife?

I wonder why did you ponder upon this? But, anyway, it will be your wife whom you want to save first, if you aren't otherwise opinionated. And you need to save your mother-in-law also because she is dearer to her than you. So, you can't escape saving one and leaving the other to fate.

The problem here isn't the wife nor the mother & father-in-laws at all.  It is the siblings.  There are family members who put their siblings before their wives and children.  This is so prevalent in multichild families.  When you marry someone in a multichild family, expect to be put LAST as the spouse will ALWAYS put their siblings first.  I say let's go with the siblings, not the wife nor mother in law!

But, the question was about wife or mother-in-law. But, anyway, it is the husband who is at the risk always. He can't leave let go anyone of those wife's family members. In that event, he can risk his own life at any cost.

Grace I don't see an answer to the actual question here.

I decided to interject siblings in the scenario.  Leave the wife and mother in law ALONE-THEY AREN'T the problem in a marriage.  It's those PESKY siblings......Adult siblings can be a TRIAL........

Oh without a doubt my mother in law. She is so tough she would probably break something when she fell -- like the rocks she hit.

If I were a man, I think I would let them both go, and then jump off of the cliff.
