Hmmmm good thinking in a panic, peeples. You must do your best thinking under pressure! LOL
I like your husband! Takes courage to be honest with your Mother-in-law!
Burning water happens with me also. I put water on gas for pouring it into the coffee filter. But then, I begin doing some other work and forget it. So, I had to boil water again after a 5 minutes or so as it gets fully burnt in the bowl on gas.
No one noticed that the fabulous aroma of Thanksgiving Turkey hadn't filled the air?? Sha...that's a good one! At least you could have Turkey Dinner another day. Beats the heck out of some of my Dinner BLOOPERS!
Paula, considering I baste every half hour, I don't know why I didn't notice it. Let's just say I was much younger and more concerned with partying and socializing. I just plumb forgot!
Remind me to tell you about the time my turkey deflated....
