Dried fruits! I make sure I have them along during travels. Spongy pastries are next, it makes me want to eat now, lol. Thank you Rob, very nice question.
dark chocolate, peanuts - peanut butter will do. Come to think of it, I'll eat anything.
My comfort foods are: cheese (all kinds) and salty crackers, dry wors (dried sausage), and chocolate with soft sweet caramel centres.
Dessert and Fruits.
For dessert, I prefer chocolates and ice creams.
For fruits, I'm in love with watermelon, cantaloupe melon, mango, and grapes!
Eggs cooked any way, boiled, fried, scrambled and omelettes. Marmite. All kinds of cheese, but the stronger the flavour and riper the cheese the better - gorgonzola, epoisse, camembert, stilton, vintage cheddar, goats milk cheese and parmesan, to name but a few - I'm drooling as I write this. Then there's strawberries, cream and meringue - I even buy strawberries out of season. And last but not least, chilli any way at all, but especially Chinese or Sri Lankan chili and crispy prawn - I eat them by the teaspoonful and then regret it afterwards.
Whenever I am down and out, I long for the things I normally keep out of my house. My favorite comfort food, is chips and dip!
Warm bread and butter. It has to be real butter, none of this margarine or low-fat spread stuff. Pure butter melting into warm bread...yummy!
Here's my list
1. coffee (black)/tea (with sugar)
2. ice cream (Baskins N Robbins praelines n' cream, use to love Ben and Jerry's rainforest crunch but they discontinued it)
3. kettle corn (popcorn that is sweet and salty)
4. Cracker Jacks
5 pizza (sausage/pepperoni with extra cheese)
6. toast and butter
Mash Potatoes and gravy and fried chicken.. which I cant eat because it makes me fat.. LOl
chocolate, Argentinean churros, fruit salad and orea ice cream
M & M Peanuts ... They are my favorite and I buy them all the time especially when I am feeling depressed.
Chocolate, nuts, bananas, hot flavored tea or coffee, and a good old fashioned hamburger (on occasion!).
