Like freecapingaussie I love the meaty, heavy foods of winter.  To me, there is nothing better than a fine roast of beef, roasted potatoes & veggies along with yorkshire pudding and loads of gravy.  Nummmm.....gee, no wonder I'm overweight!

I definitely prefer the lighter foods of summer.
I really love salads, fish, seafood and stuff like that, whereas I don't really care about meats and more heavy food.

Never really thought about it, but now that you mention it, I am a winter food lover.  I love the thick, hearty casseroles full of beef and vegetables!  hmmmm, looking forward to winter now!  smile

I do love soup, stew, roasts and all those winter comfort foods. But I also like fresh summer produce.  Nothing can beat a just picked green bean or a salad made with same day fresh tomatoes.

I love pizza any time of year. :0)    In summer, I  prefer summer foods and in the winter, I prefer winter foods..and look forward to the "season" to have each when it comes along. :0)

Spring and summer have a little edge for me, because I love growing my own foods and eating them straight from the garden, especially in salads. :0)

The comfort foods of winter are usually full of carbs and are unhealthy... so while they may taste great, the lighter foods of summer (fruits, veggie wraps, etc) are better to have.  I guess this is another reason why people gain weight in the winter?

That depends on the season. It's summer in Peru right now so we're enjoying plenty of sweet juicy mangoes, red seedless grapes, tart raspberries, soft figs and crisp fresh salads. But when cold winter weather creeps up on us, I find myself craving spicy chili con carne, crunchy sweet potato fries, horchata ice cream with salted caramel sauce and blueberry scones. I love it all!

Mmm, the heavy comfort foods of winter definitely. My waistline wishes I prefered the lighter foods! But I love any kinds of chicken and mashed potatoes and stew in bread bowls (a winter classic here) and... on and on.

I prefer the comfort foods because they feel me up, I seem to need more soups and casseroles in the winter than in the summer. I eat lighter foods in the summer because it is so hot and most cold foods are lighter.
