Agree! Especially if they use real mint like the grocery brand Talenti gelato.  It's called Mediterranean Mint and it'd the best!

As I read this, a vision of blackcurrant and licorice came to mind. I used to love that combination in boiled sweets as a kid. Not sure I've ever seen it in ice cream, but would definitely try one. Mind you, any drips would cause quite a mess!

    1. aviannovice profile image85
aviannoviceposted 11 years agoin reply to this

That's something that I have never been privy to...where did you find this interesting combination?

    2. innerspin profile image89
innerspinposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Here in the UK you can buy sweets - candies - which have a hard shell of blackcurrant, with a chewy licorice centre. Haven't had one in years, they're great.

Baskin and Robbins used to have Smores ice cream.  It was so good.  I don't know if they still have it, there is no store in my area, but it was made with vanilla and chocolate ice cream with little round, crunchy balls of graham cracker coated in hard chocolate and miniature marshmallows throughout.  It makes my mouth water just remembering it.  I also love peanut butter chocolate.  It's hard to go wrong with ice cream.

I'm not a big ice cream fan. I think it was the initial experiences of 'brain freeze' that turned me off when I was younger. If I have ice cream, it's probably chocolate. For awhile-- several years back-- I was infatuated with Haagen Daas Rum Raisin-- but I don't  even know if they still make it.
I'll bet I haven't had two ice creams in the past three or four years.

I've loved ice cream as long as I can remember, so the answer to this question has changed throughout my life. There are little ice cream stands throughout the city where we're currently living and I find them irresistible. My current favorite is dark chocolate with carmelized orange zest and pecans.
