   Hubpages staff targeted some of my hubs. They are probably right but I wonder why they took 2 years to do it.
   
   Anyway if I can't be free in hubpages I guess I'm not doing a lot here.
   
   It's been nice knowing you and be a part of this community, but I'll stop comming here.

   Ohhh anime - so few tortugas on HubPages! Stay, get over the hiccup, don't take it personally. I like knowing there's a few happy, warm and wonderful Iberians around - I miss home

   To anime_nanet... The guidelines that HubPages follows are primarily set by their advertisers.  And they have changed over time so they aren't the same now as when the site first started.  Don't you think that as a 27-year-old you can accept a little constructive criticism, and just fix your Hubs to stay in compliance?
   
   And to watchya... If someone flags a hub, and admin reviews it, and nothing's wrong, then nothing happens.  But if admin finds a genuine TOS violation, then they unpublish it and alert the author.  There are also automated filters that look for certain words, and if you think one of those was tripped by mistake, admin will do a manual review and can grant exceptions.  If someone was just maliciously flagging a hub, and there truly was no problem, you the author would never know as nothing would actually happen to your hubs.

      I tend to want to agree with Relache here.  Maybe just take a few days to work through the emotions first, then see if you can swap out a few terms and stick around?
      
      If not, I get that too.  I'm not sure how I'll deal with it when it comes--I assume it will at some point--so it's easy to give reasonable advice when I'm not filled with rage.
      
      I started to write something about how it wouldn't be too hard to change up and "stay in compliance" and stuff, but then, just looking at that word, "compliance"... bleh.  That's an ugly word, isn't it?

   I agree, you should stay, you can't let a little revamp stop you, great success is met by a few failures besides we must all adapt to the internet changes here and there...

   Anime, just want to share with you that I myself recently published a hub on a very tricky subject - pornography and the psychology behind it's users. I contacted Hp team regarding it and was asked to remove certain images on it, which in my eyes were perfectly relevant, but were violating TOS etc. Worse, I was told that Google had refused to put ads on the hub, and it would only be possible if I edited out certain words like 'porn' etc. Nothing to do with HP admin, but the rules laid down by google itself.
   
   It was very frustrating for me too, since I had put a lot of research and work into this hub but I knew getting it published and read by people meant more to me than anything else, so I complied. - yes, that hateful word. I edited the images, but I didn't want to change the text, so I compromised on the ads. Crazy I know, but at least my work reached my followers!
   
   You see, what I'm trying to convey is if you love writing, don't give up because of these minor things. Just work with the system - compromise on the little things and hold on to the ones that really matter! It is possible....  best of luck!

    Ricardo,please do not leave.Sometimes, we need to comply with rules which are nothing but controlling mechanism for spammers and very much necessary for making hubpages a better writing environments for writers with genuine interests.As you already said "probably a goodbye", I think probably you will stay with us.thanks

    There is no need to leave, close the account.  If you just want some time out and lick some wounds, then do that.  Dont let 'changes' get you down... I bet that you will feel different given some time to think.  Whatever you do, dont close your account!  You are obviously a valued member and it would be a shame to let a hiccup get the better of you:)

    If it matters any to anyone. I would highly suggest RE-READING the TOS for Adsense and HubPages.
    
    Recently, some hubs have been flagged for violations, which were NOT violations before. If this has happened, that is the most likely problem.
    
    So, with that said- It's just a thought.
