Adsense from second account?

    I have opened a second account to write about topics that I don't want people that know me don't know about.

    Can I link this account to my one Google Adsense account?  How do I do this?  (I've already forgotten how I set the first account up).

    I see that I can only set my first account up with affiliate tracker (which I'm still confused with how to do - do I need a tracker per link?)

    any assistance most appreciated.

      Go into your affiliate settings,  click edit beside google and when it asks if you have an account click yes. Then it will ask for your postcode, email and last 5 digits of your phone number. Submit and you're set.

      You aren't meant to refer your second account through your tracker, only new members.

        thanks.  I'm still confused about how to set up affilate trackers though.  I read the stuff by HP and am still not clear on what to do.  Do I need to set up a tracker for some of the links in my hubs?

          I'm not sure what you mean by affiliate trackers. There are two types of trackers:

          Affiliate - once you put your affiliate accounts into the affiliate section hubpages automatically inserts all the adverts into your kontera, adsense, and amazon and ebay capsules. You never have to do anything else from this point for any earnings to go into your accounts.

          Referrals - referral trackers are used to refer new members to the site or get revenue from referring people to another persons hub.

            yes, I mean referrals which I haven't set up yet.  There is no issue with connecting both my hubs to the same google adsense account?

              You can use the same Adsense account with both HubPages accounts, no problem.

                You ca use same adsense account.But be sure that not violate program policies.
                Also google captures the ip address of those who are logging into adsense account.So i recommend not to use two adsense account
                Regards

                  Google only allows one Adsense account per person.

                    But what if a person wants to use adsense on more than one site? How can one adsense account be used when in order to apply for adsense a person must submit site url?

          Baileybear, you used "affiliate tracker" in your original post to refer to your Adsense ID.  Now I think you're talking about something else?

          Do you mean your referral tracker?  That has nothing to do with Adsense.

        ADDHome and Baileybear, I had commented that I too found this thread had become confusing. I hope this correctly summarizes the rules:

        1.a) Only one Adsense account is allowed per person;

        1.b) It is allowed to use one Adsense account for two HubPages accounts. This is done by entering the Adsense affiliate ID into the affiliate settings for each HubPages account. (You can also use the same Adsense account to create the code needed to run advertisements on your blogs, website etc.);

        2.a) Referral trackers (officially called "URL trackers" in the control panel) are not relevant when creating a second Hubpages account. Each HubPages account has its own referral tracker, created automatically (it is possible to create additional referral trackers manually within each account, but many people never do this);

        2.b) It is expressly prohibited under HubPages Terms of Service to use one's own referral trackers for "self referrals" - so do not use these trackers to create links between your own hubs or to create a signup link between your primary account and a second account.
