      Paying bills.

a more interesting question is: will people be honest in their responses?
working for a website as a writer and editor i have managed to keep a roof over my head for over a year  as well as pay a couple other monthly bills.  this job has become only part-time now unfortunately.  the boss is starting something new now designing web pages for businesses and i might help her out writing imaginative copy.
but now i get paid a bit from a couple other websites and that pays a bill or two.

we DID all notice how generalized the question was, right?

Well most of the responses that I saw fell within the following categories....

        a) They don't make any money online.
        b) It was spent on living costs.

Since you clearly fall within category B, I don't really see where the issue is. Not many people are going to lie about falling within category A. Although that would be the shrewdest move for those of us who do fall within category B to some degree or another.

TheQuestionposted 13 years agoin reply to this

did i say there was an issue?
did i give you that impression?
          is this a better question:
how honest do you think these people will be about how much they make if they make any online?
does everyone understand the question referred to ALL income made online . . . no matter what you do online to make money?

If that's the question YOU want answered.  Why not just ask it in the forums?

did i give you the impression the question was more than rhetorical?

I use it for my monthly car payment and for paying above the minium payment on credit card bills. Essentially, HP is now paying for my car...pretty cool!

The same thing we do with the money that my husband makes in a traditional office - health insurance, mortgage, food, clothing, cars, vacation, etc. Money is money regardless of where you make it.

I have made the generous gesture of allowing Adsense to hold my money for me, interest free, until it reaches enormous size, say $100.  At that point I will add another $100 to it and take my wife to dinner.  At least that is the plan if inflation hasn't driven the cost of dinner over my $200 cap by then. lol

Now that the warm weather is here, I'll be marching right out and spending my accumulated $1.54 on a delicious ice cream cone...pralines & cream, I think smile

It is a matter of principle that I spend every dime of my HP money on booze.  The last check bought 6 bottles of Fire Fly Chardonnay and 2 twenty packs of Coors Light.

A large proportion just goes into my general living costs, to supplement a low paying primary income.

But as my earnings grow, a larger proportion goes towards much more rewarding things. About $400 of the money in my pension comes from hubpages, and I gave my nan around $100 last month towards a debt that I owe her.

Hubpages revenue also purchased one of my sofas and a glass freestanding shelving/display unit. This month I am going to invest around $100 in a p2p lending site, $100 in my pension, $100 towards my nans debt again, with the remainding $300-$400 just making my life general more comfortable.

I pay all of my house bills, electric, gas, water, phone, internet, council tax and I just scrape my £300 rent a month too, plus I buy lots of DVDs and books and more computer equipment for doing my art.......

I cash all the checks for rolls of dimes. I then pour said dimes into a big bathtub and perform my middle class Scrooge McDuck routine.

I figure Im less likely to actually spend the money if I have reroll it, go to a bank and explain why all my money smells like wet duck.

But, I do pay all my living expenses with my PayPal card though

I started online marketing/freelance writing in 2003. My online/writing income has paid all of my bills and put two kids through college since then. Thank God my youngest is still "trying to find himself" and hasn't entered the college scene yet though! smile
