I'd be more than happy to be forced to comply with the law and feed upon those! Thanks Gisele for that brilliant legal suggestion!

I am pretty much for whatever she says. Yep. Now that I look at that picture again, I am sure of it.

Any doctor will say that breast feeding of children helps to shape up the body strength in future. I fully subscribe to this idea.

As a breastfeeding mother (my baby girl is still BF at 9 months) I think that's preposterous.

Yes, breastfeeding helps babies stay healthier and is easier to digest and also helps mums avoid breast cancer.

But I can honestly say the first two weeks very extremely painful and if you get something like thrush or mastitis you can be in a whole lot of pain. Then there are the babies who have bad reflux or the mums who just don't have good milk production - or over production.

Plus as a BF mum you get a whole lot of unwanted sexual attention from your partner coz well - you're just sticking your sexual parts out in front of them regularly!

To each their own I reckon!

As a mother of three who breastfed each a bit, I was made to feel guilty for mixed feeding the first, struggled superhumanly to continue feeding the second, nearly endangering her in the process, under the guidance of La Leche League members, until it was obvious she was failing to thrive, by which time, once I bottle fed her once, she would never look at breast again. I mix-fed the third and enjoyed it. My feeding never quite made it to 3 months, despite trying every trick breastfeeding counsellors could offer for the first two.
On seeing formula in my shopping. people have felt they could comment on my parenting style. Plus the formula is taxed because of the aggression of the breast feeding lobby.
Women who cannot breast feed are not second class mothers. We do not deserve to be pigeon-holed as bad mothers.
Think before you write. It's a pity some girls don't try to breast feed. Maybe its use as weight control and contraceptive should be better known. But don't be black and white.
My teenagers are now healthier than most of their peers. I am glad I had the confidence to enjoy feeding my third child.

How about if we make it mandatory that we make our own choices?

Quite!  Besides, how on earth would you enforce a law like this?  The mind boggles.

I wish celebrities would stick to being celebrities and stop telling people how to live their lives.

Simple, make baby formula an illegal substance!

So, drug lords are not enough for you, now you want formula lords? wink

Oh, and as much as I am biased in favor of breastfeeding, mandating it legally would be another idiocy. Though the original post was a suggestive joke, not a serious proposal. smile

What's wrong with formula lords?  It's a legitimate occupation!!  lol

Oh yeah... LOL.  Then watch as a black market in baby formula develops, with dealers, traffickers and illegal factories.

And I thought it was just her husband who regularly got bonked on the head.

I just love this logic. You MUST breastfeed your children (presumably after you give birth to them without any pain relief -- I mean, why not legislate no epidurals while we're at it?).
But you can't breastfeed them in public, because that is offensive.
So technically, she is advocating what women must do with their own bodies inside their own homes.
Maybe she can run for political office. How about as Sarah Palin's VEEP candidate? lol lol
