Video Capsule Problems

   This happens almost every time I try to incorporate a video into a hub.
   I get the video into the capsule and am able to preview it just fine.
   I press "done editing" and my hub goes into a never-ending "loop" of "loading."
   Saving the hub should happen quickly and automatically.
   If I try to press "preview" at that point I am told the hub I am looking for is no longer published (even if it has never BEEN published yet!). I have to log out and log back in. But in all cases the video capsule is not saved.
   
   In some cases I have been able to overcome this glitch by logging out -- not just out of HP, but off my computer.
   
   However, in the past 24 hours even that has not solved the problem.
   
   Anyone know how to overcome this extremely annoying problem? I really like to include videos and it frustrates me A LOT not to be able to!

      I've noticed this before; I don't preview the video until it's done and on the page.
      
      Me thinks it's something to do with either HubPages or browsers. Speaking thereof, what browser are you using?

   Hi Ixxy. Thanks.
   I use Windows Internet Explorer through Yahoo.
   Maybe I should try accessing HP through Firefox instead?
   Still,that should not be necessary. Every OTHER capsule works fine!
   
   When you say you don't preview the video until it's done and on the page, you mean you click "Save" on the capsule first and THEN preview to make sure the video is working?
   I will try that. Hold on...

      No problem. I've had similar issues in Firefox, too. It may just be either HubPages or YouTube API issues. I wish I had more advice on the subject, but you have it right--I save the capsule then preview it on the hub.

   Ixxy -- You are a genius!
   It worked. I've been living in friggin insanity for a long time, doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
   I was able to add 2 videos using your technique.
   Don't want to push my luck:-)!

   I've not had any problems with video on Firefox, and I used IE the other day without any problems.

   With Ixxy's technique I was able to resolve the issue. At least for today:-).
   Old dogs and new internet tricks. Sometimes it takes a few tries:-)!

   Hi Mighty Mom,
   
   It sounds like you may have found a bug.  I tried to reproduce the it but was unable to.  Perhaps, I am not following the same steps.
   
   I used IE7 on Windows Vista to try to reproduce it:
   
   1.  Went to an existing hub that's already published.
   2.  Added a Video Capsule
   3.  Added a YouTube Video link:
   
   I used a url that I took from one of your hubs:
   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4HUBbRR … r_embedded
   
   I did a preview.
   
   Then I saved the capsule.
   
   Then I clicked "Done Editing"
   
   Everything worked fine for me.  Is this problem that you are seeing happening every time?  If so, which version of IE are you using and is there anything different that you do from what I listed above?
   
   Once I am able to reproduce the bug, I can let you know how quickly we can fix the issue.
