I got a email today about a user that located on of my new Hubs... and all my hubs are new. The email was basically and advertisement for a adult page and and came for email@hubpages.com. Is this something we all end up getting when we become infamous on hubpages?

Did you click the 'this message is spam' link on the email? That's the best way for us to get rid of the spammers.

I mean, unless you like what they're sending you. smile

Forward the email to team@hubpages.com.  None of the users of Hubpages can assist you with the problem.

I hope not and I hope it doesn't turn you off to HubPages! Normally what one can expect when one becomes "infamous" on HubPages is lots of positive attention and comments on your hubs, increasing numbers of fans, increased page views, and (hopefully) income. You will probably endure some good-natured ribbing (this is part of the initiation process and lets you know you are being accepted). Oh yes, and the occasional death threat from Rockinjoe. But don't worry too much about him. He's really nice once you get to know him! Welcome here!!

As the owner of an ISP and several websites I am sad to say I am very accustomed to spam. Getting one wont kill the deal thats for sure. As for money I do not expect to make much if anything off this endeavor. I spend my entire day at the computer often helping others this seemed like a decent medium to do that from, and if I get paid 2 cents for my thoughts  well thats even better... maybe I should put a tin can in my hubs for the 2 cents smile

I feel left out, Fred didn't write to me.  I think I'm sad.

On the other hand, I got a lovely letter from a certain someone.  I think I'm not sad anymore.

To your secret missive-writer I say:

"Thus I toss my poor hat aside,
And shrug off my threadbare cape,
The crowd's eyes are open wide
And many a mouth is agape,
As I take my sword by the nape
And draw out its form so fine
From which there is no escape,
      For tonight, Valvert--you are mine!
Too bad that you chose to deride
      This vicious old Bergerac ape
(My teeth are as hard as my hide),
Yet when you are dead I will drape
Your corpse with the finest of crepe,
So that all know your taste was 'divine,'
Though you should have avoided a scrape
With the master--for now, you are mine!
I must find now a sharp rhyme for 'pride'--
      You're panting, you're red as a grape!
Is that ardor or terror inside?
What began as a lark, as a jape,
Now concludes with a rout, with a rape,
      With your virginal courage supine,
As a puddle on honor's landscape-
Turn around, little girl--you are mine!"

Fred's apparently gets around, I got an email from him too.  I'm thinking he's going to be real surprised when he's dating a sixty year old, white haired, half blind woman with only one boob.  He'll like my six-foot-five husband very jealous husband too.

"Things to do while waiting for Fred" -- sounds like a hub topic. I think I'll go write it.
I hate all men (including and especially Fred). Now, wait. I love all men (including and especially Fred).
