Sir Paul couldn't Sing on SNL

   I watched SNL last night as Paul McCartney was a guest.
   he did several guest spots and three singing sessions and
   I have to say; OUCH!
   He couldn't hold a note at all!
   I am a huge Paul fan but this hurt to watch.
   Maybe it's time to retire?

   I think he may have been shaken about John Lennon's assassination 30th anniversary recently, and had a bad singing night for other reasons as well. Growing older at 70+, how many friends, band members, family members, and marriages has he lost?-- I mean by this, there comes a point where you stand in the middle of a stage or open space and think silently, "Where'd everybody go?" In fact, some people scream.
   
   It happened to me at age 17 or 18 when most of my friends died in the military near the end of the Viet Nam Conflict and in car accidents the same spring...I was a soloist with the high school band and could not sound a note on key.
   
   Let's see his next performance; he did great on Dave Letterman's show just weeks ago.

   So what's new? Paul McCartney never could sing!
   He could hold a note and his timing is perfect, but a singer? - no.
   LOL, I listened to the video and he wasn't that bad! A bit hoarse maybe.

   He certainly had flue like symptoms.... but i feel he really can do better....
   
   I have seen him quite recently in front of a live responsive audience, surrounded by his friends, and he can still sing, he really can..... He really did look out of his comfort zone, on this clip.

   He was rough alright, but on the flip side, SNL and the sudience is just happy to have him perform. He doesn't have to prove anyting to anyone and he dosen't need any gimmick of any kind or stunt as a crutch.
