Only took me almost 14 months but have finally reached payout which I'd set to $1000 to save on extortionate bank charges! When can I expect the cheque? February?

WOW, congrats.... I have direct deposit so I'm not sure how long it will take you to receive a check. $1,000 in 14 months is not bad!

    Amazon UK or US ?

Thanks everyone! I'm so happy smile

Skyfire, Amazon US. UK payout at only £25 and straight into my bank account so no charges. I've only earned about £5 on it so far anyway. Amazon US send a dollar cheque that banks charge to change.

Yes, nice one!  I have also made payout but I set mine rather lower, at $150.  Could really do with the money and $1K is going to take me rather a while lol

Well done Izzy - that is fantastic. By my reckoning you should get that at the end of Feb - as I got my September payout at the very end of November.

Have a big glass / bottle of wine to celebrate.

You might better go ahead and send me the Complete Beatles box set from your earnings.  I'm beginning to think UW isn't going to get me one from her good fortune.  Are foreign women always so tight with their money?

LOL, you'd have a better chance of squeezing blood out of a stone that getting us Scots to part with our money!

Thanks everybody for your good wishes, and yes I have cracked open the vino - even splashed out - got the 86 cents carton instead of the usual 55 cent muck.

Well the shop had run out of the cheaper stuff, that's why!

Ah, just in time for the warmer weather! It's freezing here just now! Thank God for hot flashes or I'd turn into a block of ice! lol

Thanks everyone who commented, and to those who haven't reached payout yet, it will happen if you write Amazon orientated hubs. Although I've got over 300 hubs, relatively few are sales hubs, and of those few there are even fewer that actually successful.

But each and every successful sales hub is a gateway.

If it sends the buyer through to Amazon the chances are you may well get some kind of sale out of it, even if it isn't what you are targeting.

      So get writing sales hubs!

That's great, Izzy!  However, I might point out that it only took me about 3 months to get my first Amazon payout.  All $10 of it. lol

I think you're just a leetle bit ahead of me here, but I'll get there one day.  In 10 years of so, maybe. big_smile

Congrats on all your accomplishments, Izzy!  To answer your original question, yes, earnings from this month will be paid out in February.

So with the delayed mail that we always get here, I can expect the cheque around the second week in March, then it is probably another month to cash it (well it takes them 21 - 28 days to cash a £ cheque!). Still...maybe one day I'll be getting a monthly cheque off them, then the wait won't matter!

Hi Izzy. I am in the Uk too. I set my payout at $100, and I get charged £3 for each Amazon cheque. I just wish they did direct deposit. But it only took my cheque 24 hours to clear,so I wasnt too bothered.

Hey Laura - £3 is a great rate - I got charged £9 at both Lloyds and Barclays. Where do you bank?

Laura Marieposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Wow that is really bad, I think I would be setting my minimum payment higher if I got charged that!! It was at Northern Bank in Northern Ireland.  May try Santander with my next cheque to see what they charge

That's so super Izzy!  Definitely break out the wine and I'll join you since I bought a bottle of porteno from Argentina.  I'm impressed that you waited until you got a $1000, I don't think I could wait that long myself.  Congratulations!

I really didn't wait all that long. I only hit the minimum payout in August - that was despite selling a $1300 greenhouse in January.! The last couple of months have been great smile

I have mine set to direct deposit and receive the money in my account every month around the 29th thru the 31st, months end for both Amazon and Google Adsense!

    Congrats!  cool

The Santander here in Spain want minimum €15 (£12.50) to cash a dollar cheque. Stick with the Northern Bank - they sound great!
