    Thanks for posting the warning, steffer!

    Daft thing is, if the prize had been a bit lower, say £30,000, more people might have fallen for it.

    I get phone calls from my bank (yeah right!) often. I always remind them that they called me, and as such should know who the hell they are calling (where as I don't know who the hell they are as I did not call them!). They should be giving me their info not the other way around! I then call or go into my bank to find out if there is anything I need to worry about with my account and why. I find those the worse then the email scams.

    Thanks for the warning. I have seen this and several others like it. I try to report these e-mails whenever I can.

    I get these daily.  Today it was from the Shell oil company, where I had won their lottery.  Although I had hoped for gas for life it turned out to be only for $2.5 mil so I didn't even bother to collect it.

    look i am not stupid and will never fall for these mails

    but, on the other hand there are plenty of people who do.

    Am i calling them stupid? no i don't

    even now are there people, who aren't experienced with the net yet, so it's just a fair warning fo all.

    So in case of doubt, yes delete such an emails at once!

    @ wilderness, yep, a few days ago i also recieved on from (shell)

    @izzm; yes, i think you're right
