I just picked up a package a friend had sent me through the mail and someone had already picked it clean, all I got was tissue paper. I'm thinking the postman left it outside of the mail room and someone got to it before the manager of the building. Bastards!
I'm already dealing with someone using my credit card number to sign up for various Book of the Month clubs. Sometimes I really hate people.
I cannot help but feel it's karma because you didn't get me the new Beatle collection for Christmas!
that sucks, that is why you have to always be careful, some people are just dangerous and vultures
Sorry to hear about that, some people are really awful and so selfish. Its like they truly don't care what hurts other people.
I almost got robbed the other day. Somone in Moscow tried to spend 1,200 of my hard earned dollars.
That sucks UW. I had two packages stollen from my doorstep a couple yrs ago. I got home from work and saw the packages, went inside, let the dogs out, changed out of my uniform etc. I went to retrieve the packages 20-30 minutes later and they were gone. Whoever took them couldn't have known what was in there. I lost about $135 in bully sticks and a $100 satelite radio.
I'm so sorry that happened to you, UW -- and RMC!
You guys seriously need to move where I live. Almost nobody locks up their house, most people just keep their keys in their cars so they don't lose them, and you can leave pretty much anything you want outside and it won't move unless you put a sign on it that says "Free." At least we get some return on our way-too-high tax dollars!
UW and RMC! That bites... yes people can be incredibly horrible at times... yet we live in hope of meeting those nice ones that can make us smile and even if just for a short time!
I hope your day gets better!!
That is really unfortunate.
I used to work for the customer service call center f a large office supply store. They would put the customers credit card number right on the outside of the box. I talked to a customer once who had someone from the delivery center steal her credit card number and use it to call phone sex hot-lines!
I heard from the person who sent it. Thankfully it was only a fridge magnet from Costa Rica. I bet they were pissed when they opened it from now on, everything gets delivered to work.
When you get ripped off, whether it's a UPS package or a lawnmower, sometimes you can ID the culprit by keeping an eye on the local want ads and Ebay. See if someone with a local address is selling a lot similar stuff.
i bet this happens alot.
its rough out there. take it one day at a time
dont give up.

I'm relatively new to this site.I know most sites of its type do their best to be "Google friendly" which translates into "family friendly" (a phrase I hate, by the way). Over the years when tempted to use profanity either in a title or in the body of an article (and I can...

Hey guys. I've been thinking about this 30 hubs in 30 days challenge a lot lately, and I'd really like to go ahead and make the commitment to do it. I think it's going to make a big difference for me.I don't want to start alone, though, because I know the value in a team effort to keep...

I have had a Hub snipped according to my email, hub staff have improved it, images, low quality this and that. Trouble is they have taken every single photo out! its just a page of writing and looks really dull! The question is, am I supposed to add some more photos or is that it? thanks

Yep...it's true. I give great advice, encourage others, offer support, stay devoted, remain committed, work like hell (darn, I cussed) to sustain my committment, and say positive things. I write articles about reminders of new love in a marriage and publish love letters I got from spouse...

I occasionally hub-hop, but most of the time I come away from it feeling like I haven't really accomplished much as far as "improving HubPages" goes.So tonight, just for laughs, I decided to type "mesothelioma" into the search box at the top of HubPages' homepage. I then sorted...

Where else do the amazing author's on Hubpages display their work? Considering Hubpages is very fragile at the moment, I am researching a split of my hubs to another site as an insurance against hub pages going down. I've been told I have hubs that now 'shine' - I'd like these to twinkle on another...
