      Hi WryLilt, first of all congrats on being chosen as a Hubpages elite. I got a email about the Hubpages ad program as Hubpages weekly. I believe that does to equate to a invite or does it?

         Nah, I got HP weekly as well, but if you go into earnings and try to configure HP ad program it will probably say you ineligible like me and Misha's.

            Yes It says I am ineligible. Well its a matter of 90 days at most so that's OK. Just getting a bit excited as have heard a lot of good things about the program. I have never earned much with Amazon and adsense down and gutted after the recent Google antics.

   I think there are some ads already on my hubs by hubpages and well..I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me, in a manner of speaking but...
   there are too many ads and i was told by someone that they were turned off by this and didn't want to read my hub.
   
   is there a compromise here?

      Amazon, eBay and Kontera ads are all optional. You can also go into Edit mode on your hubs and then go to settings. You'll see where you can set your AdSense ads to high, medium, low or none.
