Just noticed my first ever hub with a 100 score!

I've been writing for years and I've never managed to get a hub itself to have a 100 score (the profile is a different story)... but today it finally happened!

Oddly enough with a hub I wrote on the 23rd of last month on the topic of traffic (who knew that'd be a hot topic these days wink)...

So I guess I'll have to keep pumping out the internet marketing hubs on a daily basis!

How many of you have hit the 100 mark with your hubs?
    How long did it take?
    What topic was it on?

      Congratulations Bendo!

I had one 100 hub for a few days, out of 130 odd hubs.
It took me four or five months to get one.
Ironically it was a wind up on "how to write a successful hub".

Nice!  It appears to be much easier to reach that rank if it benefits hubbers rather than benefiting readers through search engine traffic.

Needless to say that hub has a double red arrow for a boost in traffic today.

Congrats on the 100 hub score and the same for the profile score!  My best day here had 2 100 hub scores and a 100 profile score at the same time.  Threesomes are awesome!  lol

    Good job. Congrats! smile

I haven't had a hub reach that level. The highest I think I can remember one getting is about 96 or so.

Congrats, Bendo!  I had one a couple of weeks ago.  OMG!  I was so thrilled I wanted to take a picture of it.  I couldn't understand it, since on that day (it only lasted a day) there were only 3 views but the hubscore was 100.  So odd.  Again, congrats!

They must have all rated and commented your hub or something...

It's nice to hit those hundreds... now if only I could hit that 100 in a month with Adsense.

    Congratulations, Bendo

Nearly four years on HP and I don't ever recall even seeing a Hub with a score of 100 - seriously! - never mind having one. Highest I have ever seen one of mine was 97.

I FINALLY hit 100 after over two years here with my hubs on the top ten best places in Greece,  the ten best places in the Middle East, and the Augustus of Prima Porta (don't really understand the popularity of that last one, but it's easily gotten the most traffic).  Since then, they seem to hit 100 often, and stay there for 4-5 days at a time.  I have no idea why, and the whole scoring thing remains a total mystery to me.  Congrats though!  It's a really good feeling.

(On a side note, out of dumb luck, about a month ago I put my top ten bad asses of history hub on reddit mere minutes before the site had all those problems you may have read about.  Long story short, since Reddit was unable to receive submissions for about a full day, my hub sat there in the limelight, giving it over 1000 hits in just a few hours.  And then, the glorious and elusive perfect hubber score of 100 appeared!  Alas, it only lasted one night.  I was back to 96 a few hours later.  Nice while it lasted though.  sigh.)

That's awesome!  You must be pulling in such good traffic because they're not topics most people write about and you're getting a good score because it's good content that people interact with.

I wish I could get stuck on Reddit's homepage haha!

Thanks!  I think it took all the way up until this year or the end of last year to get the perfect hubber scores going on.

I'm sure you'll hit the 100 mark soon!

Congrats, Bendo.  I don't recall how long it took, but they've shown up fairly regularly.  The ones that have gotten there are made up of, I think, one product-review type of Hub.  A couple have been "tips" type of things (one I have in mind is about young children).  The others tend to be the same few about emotional/mental health (dealing with one problem or another in life).  (So it's safe to write about stuff other than Internet marketing, at least if you're interested in what you write about.  smile   My "favorite" and memorable day was having 4 at 100 on the same day.  (Not bragging - I just liked that day.  smile ).  (I have 2 today, but ever since that 4-day, I see having 1 or 2 as disappointments.  lol   "Human nature is a peculiar thing, isn't it?  smile )

Yeah I never noticed a 100 before today... but I'm sticking with internet marketing because it's what I know. I don't have to research it and repeat someone else's work... it's genuine new info from me.  So it's easier to write often...

Plus I've seen that it helps people the most on this site as well as others on the outside.

Congrats on that (4) 100 day though!

I think the thing about writing what you know about does make a difference.  (What's kind of funny is that I saw a question on here once about dealing with loss/grief.  I thought I'd try to help the person and offer what I thought I'd figured out sort of helped.  The Hub did really well and was getting tons of comments; and what people were saying was so "serious"/meaningful I couldn't just not respond.  So the Hub just kept getting more and more traffic.  I kept getting e.mails about the comments, so even though I didn't want to "make a career" out of thinking about loss and grief, it was kind of turning into a regular thing, because I had to keep going back and thinking up really depressing stuff in order to try to give a decent answer to people who really deserved one.    I didn't learn from that one, so I went ahead and answered a couple of other questions similarly depressing.  Those Hubs did well too!  lol   I began to think of them as my "death Hubs".  lol  It was like I was building a big part of "Hub-dentity" on depressing, death, Hubs.  So, in the end, I shut off all comments.   hmm

The moral to the story:  Even if you think you know a little something about certain subjects, it's better if you don't go ahead and write Hubs about them.   Those are the Hubs that just might keep coming back and haunting you with lots of traffic and comments.  lol

Bendo13posted 12 years agoin reply to this

Haha this is true!  I don't have depressing ones but there are some hubs that I regret seeing comments pop up on because I know I'll have to do a short consultation in the comment.

BUT we have something in common in our boosts in traffic... I've been on an answering spree as a sort of way to ensure that everything I write about is something people want to know. So I go to my special section in the questions, click "answer with a hub", research a good keyword and then write about what I know... people seem to be pleased with it.

I've always found it does kind of work, mostly because without seeing the question show up I wouldn't have thought about it myself.  I have some embarrassingly stupid-subject Hubs in my collection as a result of it, though (so now I try to be more careful than I once was).  smile

Thanks for posting about this.  I'm just a one month hubber and have only just gotten to 90s a couple of times and I'm just really surprised at how the hubscoring works.  I've had hubs not yet published--still working on them--start moving up in rank.  I am very surprised also at how well one hub whose title I did research on keyword and found only 70 people looked for that actually ended up on top.  I wondered if it does really help to write on topics which are very narrow.  Anyway, I'm just writing what I like and what interests me at the moment.  I'll take the warning about the depressing/death issues.  I actually have some experience in that too, and with Alzheimer's but I'm not sure I'm ready to make that my career either.
