How many views do you usually get per day?

   Just wondering how many views the average person gets in total. I know it depends on how long you've been here and how many articles you have posted and stuff but just wondering.
   
   I have 25 listed as my views in the last 24 hours, I've been here about 5 days now and have 6 articles is that a good amount?

      If I haven't published anything then I usually get about 200 views a day - maybe a little more, but sometimes it will drop all the way to 180, or something.
      
      When I have published something recently it's generally around 300.  I do NOT chase keywords and try to write about high traffic topics at ALL though.  I write only about whatever it is that I want to write about.  When I write about products - I'm generally writing about expensive acoustic guitars - because I just love those things.
      
      The only great trick that I know for driving traffic is to use reddit.com - making certain that I look around and figure out what the BEST possible "sub reddit" or category is to put my stuff in - my satire or controversy style rambling pieces are what does best there.  Sheer volume of traffic us useless, really, from Reddit - but the hope there is that out of the hundreds that view something - at least a good handful or 50 of them will hit the Facebook "like" thing or tweet the thing, or even e mail the hub to someone, and that from there it will get linked on other sites.

      I have been doing hubpages for 201 days...I have 40,000 hits...it comes up to an average of 201 hits per day.

   Oh thanks for posting that site it seems handy for getting initial views at least. Does the site allow you to re-post links again over-time or do they just stay on there permanently?

      Links stay on Reddit, and they are "dofollow" links as well - don't re post links, just make sure that you look for the best possible category or "sub reddit" so that they do get views.
      
      To not get labelled as a "spammer" you need to also submit other links and comment other people's stuff as well - if you work it right it's a huge traffic source.

   I think nothing Iwrite fits into their categories or maybe I don't understand their categories. I've just signed up with Digg.com. My hubs do fit their categories.

      Digg is good because it gets your hubs indexed and available for searches really quickly.
      
      I had 500 views yesterday - two hundred of those came from reddit, I just simply posted some satire pieces in their "WTF" section.
      
      I just don't get traffic from Digg, really - never more than one to five views - I always submit there, but I really just do that so that my hubs are indexed quickly.

   Well, since sub domains have arrived, my traffic has increased. I am receiving about 1600-1700 hits a day. However, I am hoping I can make 4000 views like I used to a day. Of course, that was pre-panda google, and it was around holidays 2010
   
   My ultimate goal here is to make at the bare minimum $250.00 a month & long term $500.00-$600.00/monthly
   
   The thing is, I know it would be relatively easy to make a couple hundred dollars monthly if I could mimic the success of a few articles that receive 50-500 views a day.
   
   One of my hubs is closing 100,000 views. Only if I could figure out a way to make more hubs that successful...The hub I wrote, frankly, was quite simple, but has done very well.
   
   In my opinion, there are a few things to keep in mind if you wish to make a nice sum of money on HubPages.
   
   (1) Focus on Subject matter that gets searched a lot. This means your keywords need to be accurate.
   
   (2) Make sure the keywords and topic are low competition, else-wise, it does not matter if it gets a lot of searches if your going to get outranked by other websites etc..
   
   (3) Hubs that 100-1000+ views a day can make a SIGNIFICANT difference in income. This is where it does not take many of these hubs to increase income.
   
   (4) You will not have success on hubs that get 0 views a day or a few hits a month.
   
   (5) Work consistently. If you constantly focus on specific niches that get searched, you may have unsuccessful, semi-successful, or very successful hubs. You might write a hub and it ends up receiving 100s of views per day for months/years.

         Number 2 means that even if a topic/subject gets a 100,000s of searches on the internet a day, that does mean you will make a lot of money.
         
         For example, "Lose weight very fast" "Shed those unwanted pounds"
         
         Those are horrible topics & titles to write about because the competition is so high. And what that means is your going to have a tough time getting ranked high in Google because many websites are already at the top..
         
         However, if you can manage to get backlinks for those types of topics, then you can raise your rank in google. It would be very tough to get on the first page second, or even third page of Google with phrases like that. And lower ranking means less potential visitors which means less income.

         One of my real dogs (and all of my hubs are someone doggish) recently got picked up on the website of an expert in the subject it was written on.  Traffic went through the roof.  So yes, not popular has the chance to become popular.

   I must admit I do not understand all of the categories. Is "trees" another way of saying environmentalism and nature? or is it specifically trees?

      I would put it into "environment" if you're talking about a hub about trees - I think.  You can try Trees though, I just don't think as many folks would see one there, but I could be wrong.
