What have you learned about yourself since joining HubPages?

That I have so much more to learn that I didn't even know that I didn't know!

How thorough I am at producing anything and that it is very hard for me not to be. Can't just whip off something and throw it out there. sigh

I agree, just can't crank them out without caring about the quality. Oh well, better quality than quantity

That there are some things that you cannot control, however hard you work!

One thing that comes to mind is all of the things people would say to each other online that they might hesitate to say face to face.

I have learned that I should stop being a slacker and actually work on something in life. Lol!

It's hard to explain, but hubpages really makes you work for your earnings. I've been a procrastinator most of my life and an all together lazy person. But hubpages has been helping me develop a better work ethic. I love this place so much!

I learned that I much more potential than I gave my self credit for.

I also learned that I am quite patient and determined.

During my first couple of months here I wasn't sure what HP was looking for in terms of articles/content. So I wrote poems, recipes and short stories. I even wrote a couple of hub about my experience here. During the course of one week almost all my hubs were flagged. What did I do? I wanted to delete them, but the stubborn, determined person I am made me rewrite all the flagged hubs and got them republished.

I also use my experience as a researcher to help me research new topics to write about, and that is surprising to me as a I always tell people I am a poet and fiction writer.

Good question! Thanks for posting it smile

I think I've learned that things that interest ME are maybe not very interesting to anyone else... unfortunately.

I've also learned that I really care about what other people think more than I realized.

      You are quite welcome Inotherwords.

I leanded that I can actually write rather than just dreaming about it.  I also learned that HubPages can be quite addicting.

Thanks everyone for your great comments - I'm learning more about my fellow hubbers.

I've learned that others really like my writing. I was quite surprised as I was alway a little apprehensive to share personal stories. However the community here are terrific. They encourage me, and contribute to my inspiration.

I learned that I can write about things I know, and someone might actually want to read it.

I have learned a little more about the complexities of the internet and also that I can write for the fun of it and really love to communicate with people here.  It's all good!
