Do Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck really Believe Their Own B.S.?

I truely believe that these clowns only believe half of the crap they preach. They obviosly take a factual article and doctor it up by trwording or telling half of the story to get their audience a wild up. For example my dad listens to Limbaugh only to laugh and mock him and I noticed that this turd is constantly uses the words "government controlled media" when in fact all his callers are sceened and the ones who are chosen are the ones who kisses his fat ass and tells him how great he is. Occasionally a few callers are chosen who disaggree with him are chosen only because they are easy to run over and made to look stupid. These clowns are not journalists or have any ties to the politicians let alone would be allowed to attend an actual press conference. It's easier to make crap up and at the same time enjoy the sound of their own voices. They would be eaten alive in an actual debate. So why do some listen to then and take their word as gospal truth?

    What are your thoughts?

Apparently you listen to him or you wouldn't have all the facts, right?
They are on the radio to make money and if they didn't they wouldn't be there.  Doesn't matter if they believe what they spout, just matters that they have millions of listeners that advertisers cherish.

But I do think that they do blow up facts instead of actually reporting news.  I think that they are scam artists.  And since they do make money by scaling people into following them they should be held accountable to a certain point.  What do you think?

You are generalizing, which BS are you referring to? I think Limbaugh is brilliant! I also feel the same about Mark Levin, and Hannity is a good man. All of these men are principled conservatives that believe sincerely and deeply in those principles. I think you people on the left would be wise to listen to these ideas and submit your own beliefs to the scrutiny of their questions. As Reagan said "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so."

I watched a debate between Phil Donahue,Vladimir Posner and Limbaugh.  It was interesting and Limbaugh was far from the intellectual light weight.

As for dropping out of college, smart people do this everyday.  Bill Gates is a fine example.

Since the radio dial is still controlled by the radio listener, conservative talk radio is freely sought out by millions of listeners everyday.  The AM dial was rescued by Limbaugh and an entire industry was spawned by him.

Not being a journalist sounds more like a compliment than a criticism.  What makes a journalist a journalist?  Is it the degree from a J-school?  Did Ernie Pyle have one of those?

How many newspapers were started by people with no formal training?

Believing in a conservative political world view does not preclude an understanding of how business works, how to make money or anything else of any nature, for that matter.

I think they do believe what they are saying while they are trying to be as interesting and entertaining as possible to keep their sponsors and affiliates happy.

No. They're laughing all the way to the bank.

A great movie about this, though, is "The Last Supper" (although it gives the Limbaugh-like character way too much credit).

I've never listened to Rush's show, but I think Hannity believes what he (Hannity) says. I'm not sure about Beck. He used to be a liberal, so did he just go where the money was?

I think they have just as much right to their opinion and to say what they want as anybody else does. If you don't like what they say or you disagree, you have the right to not listen. Why even waste your time calling what they say B.S.?  Just ignore and live and let live.

They don't have a right to incite insurrection. That is what they do. IMO

Insurrection generally involves some sort of imagination.  Repeated rhetoric only takes you so far. Then everyone stands around scratching their collective arse asking "okay, what's next?"

it's all about survival and ratings..they need to call attention to their show..without viewers they don't make money and the sponsors don't support them..

I don't think any of them sincerely believe anything (except the power of the almighty dollar).
    They are ENTERTAINERS not journalists.
The belong on Comedy Central like Stewart and Colbert.

They have to say something everyday even if they have nothing to say. They flunk out of college and society and have become sinfully rich getting their revenge on society and education.

Habee: I am curious, where did you hear or read that Beck used to be a liberal?

I have to laugh at you all liberals! I'll bet none of you have ever seen more than a 2 minute clip of any of those guys, yet you're all capable of knowing what's in their hearts! I do watch the liberal shows, mathews, maddow, morning joe, cnn and gregory and the rest on sundays as well as NPR in addition to the conservative programs. The differences are striking!

I'll take that bet!  I listen to both Rush and Hannity all the time.  I married a republican who controls the radio.
