Leave it in the past

   Time is the problem. If I worship the past, do I not get stuck? The teachers of the past even said to move on. So why keep the self from moving ahead? What I have said and what I say now are inevitably going to be in the past, so all I can teach you is to live in the now. The now is not the future and vice a versa.
   
      Jesus said "I must leave you now, for it is for your own good". This means to me, that the desciples were learning nothing. If Jesus would have stuck around, they would always follow and would never live their own lives. If I always ask for guidance, I give up the right to find out for myself.
   
       That was the dellusion I spoke of. The dellusion is the illusion of control and the illusion is quite powerful. For instance; If I am angered, I have thus lost control. But then, was I ever in control of anything? The spiritual existance is as vast as the universe it's self. This was the teaching of the Budhas and the Christs of our world. Give up fleshly desire and live free of suffering. But in truth, suffering is unavoidable, in all aspects.
   
       Taste bitter so you can taste sweet. The bitter is suffering and so therefore is the sweet. If I taste bitter I am suffering, if I taste sweet, I suffer in the persuit of more "sweet".
   
       They were all poignant teachings. Live here in the now and be enlightened. Is this not a simple statement?

      Very simple to those who are ready to hear.  By losing my illusions I have lost everything and nothing.
      
      I tend to disagree with suffering, however.  Not necessary.  Just another illusion.

         When we were young, we tried sex for the first time. Was this not the most important thing for a time?
         
               That is what I mean by suffering. Not suffering in the physical sense, but on a deeper level.

            Yes, but that was before the knowing.  I guess I mean once we know that suffering is not necessary, it goes away.

               The beauty of the world is that the suffering never ends. What I mean is that, suffering helps us to improve. We strive to replace our suffering with things, until eventually we learn that things aren't important. I can have all the things in the world, but in the end, am I truly happy?

               Gets easier and easier. The fact is, we run out of things to say. Humans are only capable of so many words and not all of our thoughts are easy to write down.

     I like this post, for the most part. Except for the reason posted for Jesus to have said that.
       I always thought he said that because he had a set schedule to keep.
   The 62 weeks as described in Daniel was about finished and Jesus knew that. And the date had already been set for the 70 weeks to be finished also.
   
     All of prophesy was established to be fulfilled at pre-determined times.

      If your teacher constantly answers the questions for you, you'll never learn anything. A good teacher knows when it is time to leave the student alone, so to speak.
