I just have to mention this:  I read the comments on Hub of The Day, and there is a Hubber that has made 2 very rude comments to the author.  She has approved the comments, I suppose.  I just think it is entirely uncalled for.  He seems to have a big chip on his shoulder. This is not the first time I've read his rants.

We've all read his rants... granted most didn't know who they were reading.  I think it is all about jealousy.  He fashions himself a literary genius and if he doesn't get the attention he feels he deserves then he goes all diva.

She showed great character in not deleting his comments, but we all would have understood if she did/does.

I felt really bad for her.  She is fairly new; did a great Hub, and she doesn't deserve to be treated this way.  Just gets my dander up, if you know what I  mean!

Okay, so this wasn't my hub of the day, right?? From Saturday?

Nope habee... Even the sock puppets and the trolls love you!

Believe me, Mel - there's one hubber who hates me! Otherwise, I get along with everyone here (as far as I know). lol

The hateful comments are still on that hub of the day. I can't believe someone could be so rude. And someone said this guy thinks he's a writing genius? Have you checked out his grammar and mechanics??

That's an interesting question Habee... actually I have checked it out... he's got a lot of personal quirks in his writing... strangely many of the sock puppets seem to have those same quirks...

I've noticed that, too. Things that make you go "hmmm."

It was me who made the rude comment and I can't believe anonymous writers are offended by anonymous comments.

Okay, never mind the very real possibility that you are a narcissistic loon, I gotta know how you keep so many passwords and account names organized.  What you lack in writing talent you more than make up for with your mad organizational skillz.

goldentoadposted 12 years agoin reply to this

I live my life around the hubpage forums, so it isn't so hard. It gets easier because I have no writing talent. But, if it makes people feel better, I have been banned already for writing hubs that were too funny for hubpages....well not this persona but the other one I had that wasn't a real secret. And I am totally kidding now about it being me who left the comment...I don't even read hubs unless a friend requests me to and even then, I don't publicly comment.

I saw that too.  I read a comment he made on one of Paul Edmonson's remarks on the main page.  He seems bitter about something.

If I had been the author of that Hub of the Day, I think I would have denied the comment.  Maybe she was just being gracious.

That one has been around for a while - bitter isn't the word.  Nothing but garbage from him.

Some have said they feel he is the one banned, who continually gets around his ip# and gets a new account, beginning the garbage all over.  Ignore the troll.

I just thought it was completely uncalled for.  Read the Hub and see what I mean.

I am shocked!  He's one of my followers.  I guess I'm on his good side, but yikes!  I think it was nice of her to let him say what he wants (free speech and all) but I would have deleted it too.  Honestly, though, it's good that she kept them in order to show what type of hubber he really is.

Yes, maybe she did the right thing by keeping them. I went to his profile.  He thinks quite highly of himself!  No modesty there......

I might get flagged for this, but I swear it's not meant as a personal attack... but has anyone considered that this poster might have an honest psychological condition?  If so, the attention that he is getting from all this (and I'm including myself) is just aggravating it.  I remember one thread in particular where every post seemed to be made in a completely different emotional state than the one before... add to that his obvious delusions of superiority and his attention seeking and it's pretty much classic borderline personality disorder.

Yeah, neither am I.  But I am taking some pretty heavy pain killers.  So technically I'm PWI.  As such, I get to post arm-chair psychiatry.  It say so in the medication pamphlet.

He left me a nice comment on one of my recent Hubs.  He is capable of leaving nice comments when he wants to, but that's not his M.O.  Angry rants, rudeness, and profanity don't belong on HubPages.  As Santa's Helper, should I put a piece of coal in his stocking?  I did catch his ranting on the Forum, but ignored it.

The comments aren't on the hub anymore. If you do not moderate your comments, other people can read your comments before you do. It's possible M.T. hadn't seen them at first, rather than having approved them.
