The Riddle: The numbers: (666 and 616)

In Scripture (Revelation 13:18) “The name of the man is in the number!” The information given is not that of my own wisdom and understanding but that which belongs to God the Lord Yeshua from the Holy Spirit. I boast only of that being of God and my Lord. Not that of my own merits; I haven't any! God do not hide his truths; He (freely) generously displays his wisdom to all desiring and loving him. As noted: In Scripture (Isaiah 45:19) “God do not hide his truths.”  The Holy Spirit, as noted:  (In Scripture Yohanan/John 16:13) “The Holy Spirit will reveal all truths: As the Representative of God .”

In order to understand and discern the significance of the Riddle; one must have knowledge from the scriptures of reference; which, are addressed from scripture (Revelations and Daniel). Visit the hub (titled) “The Understanding of the (Riddle) Character Significance.” The scriptures will allow for further insight!

The Riddle: In Scripture (Revelation 13:18) “The name of the man is in the number!”  ************ The numbers: (666 and 616)

This is the number used in representation by Christians:
    666: (add the numbers together)
    Will total (18)
The number (1) being who he is (the first male) the first appointed king of the earth.
The number (8) being the eighth king but one of the seven before.
He is the (AntiMessiah). That is his name.
                                                      (Or)
This is the number used in representation by Jews:
    616: (add the numbers together)
    Will total (13)
Now add (1 and 3) will total (4) being the number of horns he is adorned with.
He is the (AntiMessiah). That is his name.
                                                       (Or)
    From the number (13)
The (1) will represent him being the first male.
The first appointed king of the earth.
The number (3) being the (authority) given to him by Satan.
He is the (AntiMessiah). That is his name.
                                                       (Or)
    By using the (title) AntiMessiah
Anti being (4 letters) = the amount of his horns
The name Messiah being (7 letters) = One of the seven kings from before.
    His name is The AntiMessiah

The name for the numbers (666) and (616) are not the numbers representing (belonging) to Satan. They are the numbers to represent the first male of God creation. The first king appointed by God of all the earth. Whom was destroyed by God and sent to the pit. Who will be known as the AntiMessiah, upon his reappearance. The numbers (616) represent Satan and the other six cast out of heaven with him.

The name solving the riddle for Satan is used as (Christ) for its name was derived by the Greeks during Satan (new reign of power over the earth), after his destruction of Babylon and he replacing her authority and also the time establishment of Christianity (After the Lord's death of mercy).

    The name AntiChrist
Add the (4) letters of (Anti):
they total the amount of Satan horns (4)
    The word Christ (6) letters:
They total the amount of the other six cast out of heaven with him, Satan letters appearing first because of being the lead of authority.

Represent: Satan and the other six.
                                                       (Or)
    AntiChrist
Add the amount of letters and it total to Satan and the other six amount of (horns)
    Those being (10).

Represent: Satan and the other six.

Read Jerami's take Rhonda and you will see he doesn't agree with you. Still think that YOU are the one God has appointed by His Spirit to reveal the truth to Hubpages and the World?

Something that may have escaped your attention is that Revelation wasn't written in English so therefore you cannot pull out the English words and apply meaning to the number of letters in those words can you.

Beware Rhonda of God's warning to those who say "God has said...." when God has not said.

        And there's also Revelation 22:18-19

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Where does the 616 come in again? Before they translated the bible would those calculations for the numbers of the name still apply?

(Revelation 13:18)   "… let him that hath wisdom count the number of the beast for it is the number of a man…”

(the number of the beast is as the number of a man)

This is not saying the beast is a man!

This is saying that one things number, is the same as the number of something else.

Ask a high school English teacher!   If you don't believe me.

This kind of mistake (interpretation) goes on most of the time when theologians get together and discusses what the scriptures should have said instead of what is actually written.

Any of the "Beast" mentioned in prophesy ALWAYS represent a governmental type institution such as Grease, Persia, Babylon, etc.

The individual leader of said institution  would be described as a horn.

Their alphabet has  numerical equivalents. When these numerical equivalent is substituted and added together this total equals 666  (or whatever this number actually is).

Or, I should say…  this is what I have been lead to believe.

While I'm not going to disagree with Jerami, there is actually a verse (in Revelation, no less) that describes a beast coming up out of the Abyss.

"And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them."  Rev. 11:7

This is the same fallen angel mentioned in Rev. 9:11

"And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."

But I do agree that the Beast of Revelation generally refers to a 'kingdom'. I believe a theocracy based in the middle east. Which pretty safely means Islamic.

There's no riddle. 666 or 616 was the ancient Jewish code for Roman Emperor Nero. Save all the quotes from the Bible, it's all BS.

I believe "666" - or, yes, 616, AGAIN dependent on interpretation and translations - is the timeline between Jesus's birth (as he is referred to as "son of man" continually throughout the bible, and the verse states that someone "who is wise" will understand (implying that it is a type of coded timeline intended for the readers in our time, the future who would "look back" at 666, a great number of years later, to observe the astronomical events depicted in Revelation and potentially decipher them. Also, consider that up until very modern times, the bible - and it's contained knowledge - was NOT commonplace or acceptable to the majority of the public. It was most often reserved for the elite in the ruling bodies of Victorian ages and so kept in mystery up until recently.) in, or that it takes wisdom to figure it out, and also that it is "the number of a man", "man's number" depending upon translation. Also, the heavens in genesis are referred to as a "firmament" or a vault, which is compelling that it would be referred to as such. also "And when they shall have finished their testimony..." as cited above is compelling, of course... Anyone interested in a REAL discussion of these things based on RELIABLE, objective evidence, can continue by seeing the ten very illuminating videos posted by David Flynn on YouTube here: http://youtu.be/WKQn9HrHRGM   I could continue for days of course, but people interested in objective evidence truth - not shouted opinions and ideas, like me go check it out. cool.

      =============================
I don't think so;  For ALL seven seals were opened ....  there was a specific period of time passes  ....   AND THEN  ...  the seven trumpets are handed out.  (Rev. 8:1)

This is a simple observation of fact as to what is written, and there is no need to change the meaning.

It is my opinion that the seven seal judgments were inflicted upon that Hebrew Naton which existed at that time; and then ...  afterwards ....  time passes ... and then the trumpet judgments came against the Roman Empire  ....

The Angel told John (in 96 A.D)  Rev 17:10
"And there are seven kings (kingdoms); five are fallen and one is.."
The one that "IS" was the Roman Empire.  "and the other (7th) has not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short "time".
In 96 A.D. the 7th kingdom had not come yet!

The 7th shall be of the other six yet different?
The7th kingdom was the Byzantine empire.

The great tribulation such as will never be again, happened to those peoples that Jesus said "this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled.
When the seventh seal was opened, all of those things which came about with the opening of the other seals were all finished.
There is a separation of time ..  and then six of the trumpets were handed out ;...  and then ... Satan is bound, and the saints are seen in heaven where they will reign with Christ for a thousand years.    (approx 900AD)   …  and then the bowls are passed out to the seven angels.

        6th Seal
        Rev. 6:12-13
        12.  And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the
        sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
        13.  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is
        shaken of a mighty wind.
        Mk 13:14
        14.  But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing
where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the
        mountains:

        6th Trump/2nd Woe Trump
        Rev. 9:12-21
        12.  One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
        13.  And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is
        before God,
        14.  Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the
        great river Euphrates.
        15.  And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a
year, for to slay the third part of men.
        16.  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard
        the number of them.
        17.  And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and
of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their
mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
        18.  By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone,
which issued out of their mouths.
        19.  For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had
heads, and with them they do hurt.
        20.  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of
their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and
of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
        21.  Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their
        thefts.

        6th Vial
        Rev. 16:12-16
        12.  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was
dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
        13.  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the
mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
        14.  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of
the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
        15.  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk
naked, and they see his shame.
        16.  And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

All talking about the Anti christ.

When Jesus uses the word “generation.” the Word generation is Hebrew for age. deep teaching but he is talking about this earth age.
        Remember
2 Corinthians 12:2  I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago---whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows---such a man was caught up to the third heaven.
Paul was sent to the future to revelation 21 when all is restored.
But you can believe what you want.

Thank you for your forum topic.

There are some manuscripts that have 666 and some that have 616. John is writing to a 1st century audience and tells them that they can calculate the number of the beast. Gematria is when you take letters and form a number system to whole numbers from names. The Hebrew translation of the name Neron Kaiser is numerically 666, but the Greek translation is Nero Caesar that numerically is 616. Another evidence that the beast in its original interpretation/application was Nero Caesar who persecuted the saints from the spring of 64 A.D. to the autumn of 67 A.D. about, or three and a half years, also spoken by John in the Book of Apocalypse/Revelation. This is all part of Apocalyptic literature's literary style. The point as well of the 666 is that man was created on the 6th day, therefore its like saying "man, man, man" or "me, me, me," selfishness, in other words. Grace and Peace.

    1. Disappearinghead profile image60
Disappearingheadposted 12 years agoin reply to this

I agree. To the first century Church the beast was Nero. To suggest a wait of 2000 years before He came along would have been met with incredulity. The nature of Nero's persecution of Christians indicates there was no other candidate.

There was also a belief in the Church that Nero would arise again from the grave and continue ther persecution, hence John's vision of the beast with a head that had been mortally wounded and subsequently healed. There were at least three people who impersonated Nero after his death and had many followers.

The 7 year tribulation was also fullfiled by Vespasian and Titus with the wholesale ethnic cleansing of Jews throughout, Israel, the siege of Jerusalem, culminating in its utter destruction and the end of Israel as a state.

Virtually all of revelation was fullfiled by 150AD.

DISAPPEARING HEAD Thank you. Very Good. Yes, it's just common logic that if someone is writing to you and say that you can calculate something, then it's meant for you, not someone two thousand years later, though it may still apply to them and they may be able to calculate it, depending on what it is. In this case, yes it does apply to us today in the present, for there are many beasts and antichrists (1John 2) that we are to be aware of, bind, pray against, pray for, love, etc. as needed and Holy Spirit Leads. All things need to be Fittingly and in Order (1Cor. 14) in these things as well.

    The riddle doesn't lie here.

In my opinion, the riddle lies in the chronoigical order in which  ALL of  prophesy are said to be fulfilled within.

I forget where it is written ...  but it is said that the prophesy was given in order to prove the scripture.

Organized religion has for some reason reversed this process, attempting to prove prophesy through scripture. It can not be done!

After this attempt to prove prophesy through scripture has failed, we just through up our hands and say that God has created a "mystery" because we are not supposed to understand.  NOT !
The message is clear until WE try to make it say that which it was not intended.

There is ONE clue which no one wants to see.

In 538 BC Gabriel told Daniel that the Messiah will be killed after the passing of 62 weeks.  568 years later Jesus was killed.

Unfortunately; If we are to believe that Gabriel told the "TRUTH"  we would then have to rethink everything that we now think!

And that would just be wrong! ...    NOT!
