my parents house eating sunday dinner. today was a really bad day. lol. My parents are super LDS people and after i said the word, nothing else was talked about for the entire night even tho i had only used the term intending only a brief comparison while describing a larger idea that involved something about me explaining to them why i didnt recommend that they view certain videos on the internet.
sorry about the horrible run on sentence
My parents are LDS but I am just mainly confused and i don't even believe in the devil so i had such a hard time talking to them and having them understand me at all.
Anyone think I should write hub about what happened? why or why not? just looking for advice.
If anything I think it could benefit me by helping me to analyze exactly what happened and why it had to go down in the form of a bad day. Although it is pretty obvious where i messed up, my mistake was not intentional. I have no bias when discussing ideas, at least i try very hard not too.
lol i dunno why, but u are correct. are u practising to be psychic, like dassie teaches?

Since Panda, HubPages has taken a harder line on "personal" hubs. I think you could probably pull it off, if you follow HP guidance:
HubPages is not like a traditional blog site, where you publish journal-type entries. Hubs can contain some personal content, but should be interesting, useful, and easily understandable to someone who does not know you personally.
If your Hub has been moderated for purely personal content, we encourage you to make changes to your content that will make it more interesting to a general audience. If that isn't possible, you can always start fresh on a new Hub.
I agree with rmcrayne, it sounds like a personal hub and unsuitable for HubPages. If you want to write about it, try opening a Google Blogger account and blogging it. You can use Adsense if you want to raise revenue.
Thanks I really value the opinion of people who go out of their way to assist me. I am still considering how i will approach this topic and I think I will do it in the form of creative writing.
Almost all my hubs that are not poetry are personal. I say go ahead and write it if you want. It's your experience to exploit any way you choose. But only if you're serious about exploring the subject of "devil worship" and not just trying to tweek the noses of all the Christians around here. There are enough folks on HubPages who write pointless inflammatory religious forum posts and hubs for no other reason than to "stir the stinky pot" and cause some drama.
I do not intend to upset anyone, only to help them think for themselves.
I agree my personal hubs have the best traffic and more importantly hopefully reach people. It comes down to what and why you are writing and for who! We all aren't commercial writers and some not for money and there are a large number of us. Must depend at the end of the day original content and good writing, bottom line
I don't think the outcome of mentioning devil-worship to a "super LDS" family at Sunday dinner is surprising or all that interesting IMHO.
I personally wouldn't write such a hub. However, you could get traffic from the select people who actually search for conversations about devil worship. I don't know if it would be of value. Make it informative and not personal, and then you shouldn't have a problem keeping it published.
ya really have to be careful when mentioning items like this. For some this is just a touchy area for their own reasons. When people mention things like what Satan is doing i just have to bite my tongue and let it slid because to get into it is no small matter.
for people to come to their own conclusions we really just have to place a seed of thought and let them wrestle it out.
My mother is an anglican and she has no idea if she is going to heaven. Do I tell her nobody goes to heaven and that we live on a new earth? Do I balk at the lack of knowing her position with God after a lifetime of anglicanism? Do i mention that God never lets His not know?
This is where the example of ezekiel and the earthquake, fire and wind example comes into play. God was not in the earthquake or the fire or the wind but God was found in the still and quiet moments. Asking God for the right words sometimes produces nothing to say and this is okay too.
You bite your tongue out of respect?
My suggestion would be to wait until she passes away then say horrible things about her at her service. I think that would be the best way to go.
I think the bro would fit in very well with the Westboro Church group.
Death is so very serious and not something to be haha'd away.
Yes, I can see you don't laugh very much when someone dies, quite the contrary in fact.
I still see no apology from you yet for those hateful malicious words. Will one be forthcoming?
NO
you perceive them as hateful and malicious.
As you know we butted heads frequently and this is the picture and the truth of what my perception led me to deduce. I hope the finality of this hopeless situation leads others to circumspect their actions.
If you look at the thread, you'll find everyone else here saw them as hateful and malicious, too. It was a unanimous decision.
Some thought you would be man enough to step up to the plate and apologize while others suspected you wouldn't, while others knew any apology from you would be vacuous or fake.
Of course, if you believe in Jesus, you'll know he read those words, too.
And, he will judge you for your malice.
If there is a heaven ATM, don't worry. BO will be occupied elsewhere. I'll put in a good word with the big guy for YOU though... Although we might have to brick your mouth up as a condition.
I can understand the discomfort of your parents. Devil worship is not the kind of topic to discuss over dinner.

Hello,I'm new to Hub. First a compliment. After coming off another content site, and researching others for a long, long time, it's a Godsend to come to a place that demands lengthy, quality work. I value quality articles over quantity, but here's my kicker.I want some money. I know it takes...

First of all, I have officially made it to the Las Vegas airport to head back to good ol' HubPages HQ after a crazy week in Las Vegas. I haven't really gotten any sleep today, so I apologize for any bad grammar, misspellings and what not. That's my disclaimer for the day. So, after last week's...

This was a nice experiment, but I've ultimately concluded that this site blows. The two competing interests are making money and writing quality articles. Mind you, I've written a handful of stellar hubs, yet I haven't a penny to show for it. Sure, I have about 100 or so impressions on AdSense, but...

Hi fellow writers,Yesterday I recognized that the homepage of HubPages has a new design and in the mid of this I discovered a fellow writer with the most earnings here at HubPages. He's a member since 7 years, has published 55 articles which have been read over 1,000,000 times and he makes over $...

Hey there HubMobsters! Before I even get started on this post, I feel like I should let everyone who is reading this know exactly how awesome it was to see all of us Hubbers come together for last week's HubMob, which was the first one that we have ever had here on HubPages. We had 30+ Hubbers...
