Why is it that harassment is allowed in forums etc.

Why is it that hubbers ignore forum topics, questions, etc and jump in with posts that are for the sole purpose of harassment.  Maybe they love to show others as to how ignorant they really are.

I do not understand the "need" to be disrespectful here. I have seen some posts in the forums that I just don't think were appropriate. There are so many things to do online and in life otherwise that I don't even know who would have the time to do so anyway? There are so many positive ways to spend our time and energy so why do some choose the negative? Life is too short for that!

Are you defining harassment as disagreeing with you, perhaps?

I thought the rules said no harassment and no personal attacks were allowed.  Are they not enforcing that?

Of course they are.  However, certain folks have tried to elevate disagreement and lack of "respect" for their positions to be worthy of banning.

The "respect" of course means p.c. kowtowing and pretending that whatever they say has value, no matter how ludicrous it actually is.

I thought you could be a know it all or a real ass as long as you weren't personally attacking someone or harassing them.

That's funny Randy, what does asp mean?  I think I did spell ass correctly, unless there is a different spelling that I'm not aware of.  LOL.

Haha That's a good one, Pcunix. I hear that often - "If it'd been a snake, it would've bit you." lol

Harassment is very subjective, I think.
If you feel someone is singling you out and their attacks are personal, report them.
As to posters whose purpose seems to be to display their ignorance.
Most of the time, that's not harassment.
That's the entertainment value of the forums!
    lol

The person thinks that I reported her. How funny that it was you who reported the person. smile  But hey, people will do what they want. I couldn't have cared less but then she then wrote about my Mom. I  Oooh, don't do that.
