      Any time a hubber leaves me a comment I will take a look at their profile and their hubs.  If anything looks even remotely interesting I will read a hub and leave a comment.  About the only exception is a hubber that has suddenly followed 10 or 20 people in the last few hours.
      
      Just common courtesy to me, plus I have found more than a few gems that way.

         To me, common courtesy neither requires to follow back nor to comment back. That you do comment back is commendable, however.

            Regardless of what people decides to do hi Debby. In most cases they will do what to them feels good to them or brings them the satisfaction that they need.
            Perfect case and point . How can anyone look around them , look at their children and the reason for having them and still say there is no God!
            But there is life and death, in the physical form.
            
            Now this is my life's mission going through here I follow Deddy , though I may think it's kind courtesy for her to follow me in return , that's my thought , she is not in this world to live up to my expectations, that's don't change fro the reason I followed her. I love the green peace , the earth day, the reverence , the Steve Irwin, the Bindy , the whole respect to earth and iall it's inhabitants.
            I have a beautiful lady  on here who writes her feelings about her country and it's position in the world , and what she believes I don't but our mission is the same where our beliefs take us , I have more love and respect, for here truth  than her color her origin or anything. The content of her character.
            Many people follow me and I look at there profile if it's decent and I don't care of where they are from and how intelligent they are , there are on earth and I respect them so I follow them back,. But is f I see their character going negative I withdraw my following.
            But nothing to do with education, color intelligence, finance.

   This is a very interesting idea that aligns itself with Tesol's idea of the, "Thanks for SHARING" movement he has started. There is a difference; however, you are aiming your activity exclusively towards helping new users. New users would not be aware of his.

      Tesol's idea is great.  It is slowly spreading out.  You are right that new users would know nothing about it though.  A lot of people still are confused when they see "thanks for SHARING" in the comment box.

   Thanks. New users oftentimes have no clue where to start. But would probably be happy to provide feedback in exchange from some feedback from other users, new or experienced. So this is aimed at helping new users, but could benefit anyone inclined to join.

   I had no clue where to start a few weeks ago when I joined.  I'm still not entirely sure.  I just continue to write and my followers are slowly growing.  I am definitely willing to help others out.  I have tried to find new users, follow them, and leave fanmail to welcome them.  It helps give them a little confidence and sense of hope if they get feedback right away.

      I have found most of the new users by hub hopping. When I come across a hub there that I really enjoyed, I then go to the profile and see what they have on their profile page. I have been using the share button since my daughter showed it to me. I felt this was a way to help new hubbers get their story out and possibly get followers. Commenting on hubs I read has been a great way for hubbers to check out what I write and they even leave comments sometimes.

         I agree. For those who know how to navigate around the site, this is a good method. Still, a list like I have proposed could come in handy at times.

   Joelipoo, I appreciate your enthusiasm. I have also seen many times how important it is for new users to get that boost from comments by other Hubbers. Not everyone arrives here with a marketing strategy or the like.

   In some cases, I'm not comfortable being completely honest if other people can see it.  I don't want to send email, though..

      I will tentatively add you to my list, so that I may contact you in case some suitable person requests feedback. And I will then be asking what kind of feedback you would enjoy to receive.

   There is a way to do this that doesn't involve HP.
   
   I'd be willing to host a mailing list that people could subscribe to anonymously - everybody could read everyone else's comments, but nobody would know who made them.
   
   That's not ideal though.  I'd prefer something private to the author.

      There is yet another way to do it external to HP.  That would be a form where the hub oner would ask for feedback on a hub and people could then leave comments that could be forwarded to the author, thus preserving anonymity on both sides.
      
      I'd rather see HP do it, though..
