I want to add one of my own videos in the middle of my hub. I changes the recipe to video but the video is at the top. I want it in the middle and this video that i am talking about is not on you tube etc.

    Any one?

From what I am to understand, you can upload video from your computer and it doesn't have to be YouTube. But, I am not sure if it has been rolled out to all of HubPages. I know HubPages was testing it, but officially I don't know.

I hope someone else can give you a better answer. I don't use videos except for my celebrity hubs and those come from YouTube.

I have an unpublished hub. I added the video capsule and uploaded my video that I had previously uploaded into my account section.

It works fine but the video is at the top of the hub. I used the video capsule at the recipe box. I cant move it anywhere else in the hub. No direction keys and even in the reorder it doesn't work.

Thank you cagsil for your reply.

As I understand it, if you want to publish your own video, it can only go at the top (that is, the ones that are embeded in the hub). The ones you get from YouTube can be placed anywhere within the hub.

Hope that made sense. Can anyone else back me up on that or tell me if I got it wrong.

Danette is correct.  If you choose HubPages video hub format, the video is locked at the top, and can't be deleted or moved.  And once you convert a Hub to the video format, you can't change it back.

I had a couple of videos that I wanted on hubs, but didn't want to make video hubs with the video at the top. So, I ended up getting a Youtube account, posting my videos on Youtube, and then placing them in my hubs where I wanted them.

That´s the problem I have now. I upload my own video to add it on my hub. The problem is, I published the hub already before I was about to put my video, before I realized that I have to do the other way around. What´s the use of having my own video when I have to post it first in you tube? Can I not put my own video in my hub? Peace...I have to calm down;-)

I still upload my videos to youtube first and then transfer to the hub, too. It seems, however, if you load them directly to the hub using hubpage's feature then google ads will be placed on them and you can earn income from them??? I think? Please someone correct me if I am wrong--I don't want to pass on a rumor. The disadvantage is you can not place the video where you want-they all start at the beginning.

I have posted videos in a few hubs but haven't used the video hub format that HP set up for us. Not sure I really like that the video is at the very top because that might not be the best place for it and I don't like that it automatically starts. To me, that's annoying and I don't want to do that to someone else.

However, since it's connected to google ads, it is a way to get  more revenue (if I were even able to make any, LOL)

I will probably continue to upload to YouTube first. I feel I have more control over them that way.

Thank you so much. Danette, relach and smartandfun. The video that I took is very short and uploading it on you tube will only annoy someone who ends up at that link.

So, lets add one that is already there on youtube.
