One of my hubs required some fixing and as I fixed it up I was unable to republish it. The moment I pressed on done editing and publish, the screen would not update. It appeared all sort of grayish. I guess this is part of technical problems due to the new layout. Just wanted to report this issue.

Unless I am mistaken, the hub will have to be reviewed by a moderator then published if it meets HubPages standards.

No, this is different scenario. Basically, when I hit "save" to save the changes made, the whole area grays out and I am unable to hit the "done editing" button. I think it is due to the new layout since it has happened since. Maybe I will try with IE or Firefox and see what happens.

      @alexadry

Sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing.

Here are a few things to try:

      1. Upgrade to the newest version of Chrome

      2. Clear your browser cache
      http://hubpages.com/faq/#chromecache

      3. Try a different browser (as you already suggested)

If the problem persists, please include a screenshot of the issue you are seeing and we will help to determine what might be the cause.

I cleared my cache and used Chrome and the same issue popped up (gray screen), but after using IE it worked and I was able to submit. Thank you for your time and kind regards!

I'm glad you are up and running, but we would love to fix the issue with Chrome if we can track it down.

Just to make sure, was the issue you experienced with Chrome in Windows Vista?

Was the problem for one existing Hub, multiple Hubs, or all your Hubs?
Did the problem occur if you created a new Hub?

I just tried using the latest version of Chrome in Windows Vista and didn't run into the issue you described editing this Hub:
      http://alexadry.hubpages.com/hub/Low-Fa … an-Flights

My basic testing for that Hub consisted of editing a text capsule, adding a single period, then "done publishing" then I went back in and removed the period.

If there are specific Hubs or circumstances that result in the issue, please provide as much detail as you can.

I use Windows Vista. The hub in question required revision so was sent back to me to correct the problem. The hub in question was:
        http://alexadry.hubpages.com/hub/Crate- … orrect-Use
I tried again to replicate the issue of fixing something using Chrome and the area still grays out and does not allow me to press any buttons such as "done editing" "preview", or "unpublish now." I am attaching a screen shot as to what it looks like.....

Never mind, I cannot attach a picture. I clicked on add photo, choose a photo and nothing happens.  It looks like buttons do not work for me when using Chrome. with Vista.....
Note: I tried with another hub and the same issue happens, I cannot make changes, the page grays out as soon as I hit save and then I cannot publish, review or unpublish..but works fine with IE

I also noticed today that I cannot start a new hub in Chrome. I filled out all the information, category, tags etc and as soon as I hit next everything clears. I will use IE as it seems chrome is having issues with this new format as of lately.

I just ran a test in Chrome and it is working fine.  Have you updated Chrome?

I believe the temporary issues using Chrome should now be resolved.
