All I have to say is the US Government confirmed mermaids don't exist.

Thoughts, Opinions?

I read about this on FB the other day, reminds me of the God argument, I just didn't know that there were many mermaid believers out there. You know, we could waste a lot of time making up creatures and deities that need proving they don't exist!
Thank goodness the onus wouldn't be on us to prove the existence of our made up creatures, thats all I can say!
Pufferwinkles are real! Prove me wrong!
I refuse to believe that mermaids don't exist!! Just because they haven't found any, doesn't mean they don't exist. I think it's silly that they felt the need to make a statement about the issue. Aren't there more important things to focus on??
Its a ploy..they do exist, but the government does not want to give them voting rights and it would be too expensive to offer them passports every time they enter international waters.
The sea food industry is secretly funding the cover-up so people don't get grossed out thinking about a half human-half fish when they take a bite into their fish-fillet.
When the government makes a statement..you know its a lie!
^giggle
The question is: How much time and money did they spend on determining if mermaids exist. Three cheers for cow flatus!
They do exist. I dated one. Had to throw her back though...
Why in the world would government even waste taxpayer's revenue on something so ridiculous?
And, people think I'm the one who is nuts.
Cag...we spend lots on ridiculous. There are usually riders on the budget that goes before congress. These are things attached to the bill which wouldn't be approved on their own (and for good reason) This is what PORK is all about. America...it's a wonderful country.
And you think I don't know this already. I mean, this would give more credit to my continued argument about government ineffectiveness and inefficiency.
Riders? And those are what exactly? Do explain.
If that's what a "rider" is, then the American people should be completely outraged.
It would be if government actually knew it's role in society's existence.
Your fed reps do it. Pet projects that their constituents want approved (for the money, of course) The American people know. Didn't you get the memo? And...I have no clue what you know or don't know. You think I can read minds?
Yet no word on the existence of reptilian shapeshifters?
Hmmm, what are they hiding?
The evidence is overwhelming!
One thing...if the royal family are shape shifters why are they not all gorgeous?
Even shapeshifters cannot overcome the results of inbreeding.
*Falls on knees* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooook! I'll have to change my bucket list now. =-P
Nah, when we were kids in the Philippines there were summer vacation and we usually visit beaches and seas for two months and go mermaid hunting!
No pic no proof. <---gamer mentality.

Hmm, I like to eat fish so I am just joking, mermaids don't like people who eat fish!
If mermaids don't eat fish what do they eat?
~thranax~
seaweeds, but there is a version of male mermaids, Merman! I wonder if mermaids eat them too, (censored).. LOL
we call them syokoy in the Philippines mythology - http://clarkmonding.blogspot.com/2011/03/siyokoy.html

If something can exist, then it does exist.

How can you be an atheist if you can't disprove the existence of God?What validity is there to the double negative argument for the existence of God? Is it really rational to justify belief in something by the mere fact that it cannot be disproved? You also can not disprove the existence of...

Why do atheist and other none believers not accept as proof human existenceIncluding them ?I ask this question because atheist are persistent with this line prove that God existBut as they are given proof they persist to say the same words, example a husband and wife claims to love one...

Many believers like to say that Atheists should prove that there is no God. Believers should know that existence has to be proved, not the non-existence. If a thing exists, it is possible to prove its existence. So believers should prove the existence of God if he exists. But if they want to do it,...
