I'm not very familiar with the two sites, but why in the hell am I being told that I don't have sufficient enough contact? It seems to me that people are too lazy to do a job, so they automate everything these days.

    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after
reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into AdSense at
    this time.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

    Issues:
    -
    Insufficient content

    ---------------------

    Further detail:

Insufficient content: To be considered for AdSense, your site must contain
enough text content for our specialists to review and for our crawlers to
identify relevant ads to show on your pages. We recommend including more
complete sentences and paragraphs on your site. We require websites to be
fully launched and functioning, allowing users to navigate throughout your
site with a menu, sitemap, or appropriate links. Once the majority of your
site is complete and functional, we'll be happy to reconsider your
    application.

I can't believe you are complaining when you have only written 166 words which barely constitutes anything other than a short rant.

Your title is not even going to be searched for, and if people enjoy your content I would be most surprised - shocked even.

What would an advertiser put on your hub? I don't blame Adsense for rejecting your application. I would too.

It is best to write an article with at least 500 words.  I only have two articles back then when adsense approved my application.

The give adsense to websites will at least a few pages of content.  One hub equals one page.  You need more. Putting an anti-adsense rant on your profile is probably not going to help.

... you know if they could word things like that, it would've saved all the trouble. -_- Thank you. Obviously you need promoted into their position.

People on these forums have found that 10 hubs is a safe amount to ensure acceptance, but you can get it will less.

Again, thank you. That was really annoying.

Another trick is to set up a Blogger blog and write at least 10 posts of decent length.  Since Blogger is owned by Google, they almost always approve those applications fairly quickly.  Don't worry, you'll get approved eventually.

I agree. Blogger usually approve your application pretty quickly if you have a blog. Spend a week and write once per day. A diary or rant will do. You don't have to write anything technical.

Speaking of AdSense my account was recently disabled.  They claim bogus click traffic though I suspect the real story is that I was interfering with folks earnings and got reported. Pretty fascinating for someone who makes less than $9 a month on AdSense in spite of having 3 blogs and 2 websites with ads on them!

I suspect the real story is this: I maintain a blog that calls out scams and each one of them I've called out has listings in Google's affiliate program (great vetting Google!).

However, my question is: how does this impact my participation in the HubPages advertising? I know I've had my AdSense account linked here for a long time *5 years*.  I'll learn to get along without AdSense but I don't want to lose my HubPages account (like I lost my You Tube account!) to compound this. If this means no additional earnings, I'll simply copy all my hubs to a document and remove them.

    Thanks

You must have adsense to use the HPads program.  Without adsense I would assume that HP will shut down the ad program here.

That will still leave you eBay and Amazon, if you're interested.

To use eBay here, you must be part of the HubPages ad program.

The only stand-alone affiliate left is Amazon.

Ebay and Amazon are worthless. i'll start removing my hubs and move them to my own blog so I can earn from other ad programs.

Relache has a great hub on improving you Hubpages earnings. Some great info is in there about using Amazon and eBay to earn. Before you remove your hubs, read her tutorial first and see if that helps.

There are also hubs about how you can apply to get your Adsense reinstated. Jamie Brock has  some experience with having her Adsense account removed and then reinstated.

I applied to have it reinstated and they rejected my appeal with their typical BS answer. I'm not particularly interested in EBay or Amazon, I've had their accounts active on my blogs, hub pages and several websites for years and have earned a whopping $2.00 no thanks. It's not worth the trouble. I'll simply start removing my hubs since HubPages is clearly not interested in anyone without an AdSense account.

If you also work through a company, you can always set up a new Adsense account in the name of the company.

Some people have found it worth the effort to set up a company just for that purpose. I suppose that depends on how useful Adsense has proved as a source of income.

Have you thought of converting your hubs into squidoo lenses? You don't have to have Adsense to earn from Squidoo lenses, all the money goes to them and they divide it up at the end of each month.

Despite superficial similarities, I've found Squidoo and HubPages to be quite different, so I don't think you could just copy the content, but with a bit of work you could probably convert your hubs into successful lenses.  Not sure if this is worth it, depends how much you expect to earn from the material on your own blog, but it might be an idea.

DMartelonlineposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Ironically enough some of my hubs were previously Squidoo lenses which I removed, left sit and then posted here. I was making NOTHING from Squidoo.

As far as reopening an AdSense account under my business name, that won't happen. I'm so angry over this that my current plan is to copy all of my Hubs to documents, save them until they're gone from the search engines and then post them to my blog. I will use Vibrant and other ad services and will close all of my Google accounts and even switch search engines.

Of course, none of this will mean ANYTHING to Google but it will make me feel better.

Since I've earned <$300 from AdSense in 6 years, chances are they will never notice -- and to suggest that I allowed invalid click activity is so crazy outrageous that it doesn't even bear addressing.

Clearly HubPages won't miss my 90 odd hubs either since I just cashed out my first $50 payment in 5 years so they're not doing so hot here either. Onward and upward. I will get over this.

It's too bad you have to have an adsense account to earn from HP ads. I wonder why that is? I guess they must be intertwined somehow. Seems like HP could be a really attractive alternative for people who for whatever reason can't get an adsense account. Maybe HP assumes all those people are scammers and spammers and requiring HP is one way to easily keep them out?

Writing for a blog will ensure you have got through content for adsense application. Blogger will be pretty fast but those on Type pad, WordPress also get approved.

    D. M. I know that this piece of information is no good for using on HubPages so it does not solve your problem here. I just thought it might be of use to you elsewhere.

People who cannot use or do not want to use Adsense have signed up and used Chitika ads elsewhere.

It works differently in the way it 'selects' the ads to put on your articles. I have not used them so cannot give any further details. I have read articles elsewhere about using Chitika instead of Adsense, it might be worth considering it.
