Weekly Topic Inspiration: Great Kitchen Tools and Gadgets

   What utensils, tools, and implements have played a pivotal role in your culinary career? Share them with us in this week’s Weekly Topic Inspiration challenge!
   
   To write particularly successful Hubs on this subject, I have two big recommendations:
   
   1. Make your Hub a product review (insert the Review Capsule, select single person review, and enter the product’s name). This will enable you to give a gadget you write about a star review, which will be visible in search engine results.
   
   2. Include original photos of the tool / gadget (ideally, in action!). If you can’t include original images, make sure that you’re at least sourcing high quality images that you have the right to use. See our Learning Center guide on proper image use for pointers on that front.

            Here are my two contributions - I love to cook - first one is on the amazing pressure cooker, the second is on cookie making cooking utensils.  I think I screwed up somehow, should have put Product Review first.

               I've never used a pressure cooker before, so that one was quite interesting! Loved the cookie tools Hub, too- it's nice that you've honed in on just a couple, simple tools that will last a long time.

                  It's old fashioned but new fangled all in one because it saves energy and time, which is convenient.  Also, because it's water based, you are eating less calories - no oil, frying, breading etc.  So, something to think about.  Definitely read the directions, it's a pressurized cooker, and it works like a charm.

      I was amazed at how many shapes, sizes, colors and materials the common spatula came in. For this hub I consulted with my friend who is also a chef. She gave me some excellent advice about the six utensils no chef could live without and every kitchen should have.    Okay, I am already having problems.  I set up the Hub, but I do not know how to get the Review Capsule.  Where is it?  I titled this Hub, "The World's Best Kitchen Gadget."  Is that part of the problem?  I don't see Review Capsule on my list.

            Right, Denise!  I thought I needed my eyes checked and my head examined because I was looking for an individual thing that designated a product review.  I've done a couple of product reviews, but I did not take advantage of the "single" in the the past.

   It was a pleasure doing this Hub.  I bought a lemon squeezer for the first time in my life.  Now, my hubby and me fight over it.  I use the squeezer for my lemons, and he uses it for his limes.  This treasured gadget will never make it to my kitchen junk drawer!

         Well my slow cooker hub is up, its not a review just a general slow cooker hub, although I may do a proper review one day too, but now youve got me thinking that I could review quite a few of my kitchen items as we have started upgrading our kitchen items a lot over the last year! So have bought quite a lot of nice new stuff. So I may be able to get a few more written maybe, thanks for getting my thinking cap working again!

       I believe Simone introduces a new topic on Tuesday morning?  If you are working on a WTI, complete it, but don't meet the deadline, you can publish it anytime you feel like it.  The WTI is meant to get you going because you can either use the titles provided for you.  Or you may provide your own.  The idea is to write, meet a deadline, and learn a little about SEO.  And you will have the support from other Hub authors.  Also, you have the chance to introduce the title of your article to all of us so that we can check it out!

       With posting photos, my tips are: keep up with the great attribution and legal use, and find large, pretty photos to use (though better yet, take your own photos and upload them to HubPages to use whenever you like).
       
       When it comes to photos, the more, the merrier!
