It seems Google is also having problems just like we are! They had a $68 share drop.
LOL well I've got to the point where I do product shopping using Google image search instead of the actual Google search because it's so unreliable... so what does that say about them?
I'm finding results to be all mostly paid advertisers nothing on content really except ones who pay for that too I'd guess. Nothing from 'ordinary' people really and they are the ones who can help figure out the 'honesty' guage. Don't they know that the public treats advertisers with some suspicion
Seems advertisers are starting to prefer the cheaper rates on mobile devices. The announcement on G's negative numbers was made prematurely today and caused some panic selling thus the big drop in stock price.
Did Google send its SEC report by mobile, or did they tweet it?
I have also the paid advertisement results are the target for Google now. As well as "big sites." I had one search result that had half the listing from the same site, but different titles from the same website. I remember seeing this type of results after the first Panda that really hit HP drastically. It didn't go well then, so why would Google do it again?
Google images...I have seen results with one pic kinda close and the rest not even close to what I was looking for. I go to Yahoo or Bing and see better results.
Michael, I am getting the same results with searches. About.com can come up as many as 5 times in the top results. It makes me want to use another search engine.
Well, duh! When you go mucking about with your algorithms constantly, and fouling up everyone else...whaddya think is gonna to happen?!
Folks are going to be unhappy and your shares will fall !! Gee--what was the first clue??
But, corporate CEOs, genrally being clueless, probably won't understand the connection, and will continue to mess with things...
never having heard the expression,"If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
At $681 per share compared to $500 a few years ago....ahhhhh I wouldn't mind having a few "declining" Google shares....................http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/charts?symbol=goog#symbol=GOOG&event=&BB=off&CCI=off&EMA=off&MACD=off&MFI=off&PSAR=off&RSI=off&SMA=off&FSO=off&SSO=off&Volume=off&period=3y&linetype=Line&scale=Auto&comparelist=$indu,$compx,$inx
Investing in the stock market is basically legalized gambling. Just as with visiting casinos, you don't gamble money you can't afford to lose. That leaves out folks like us trying to subsist on a Social Security/Disability level fixed income.
So Google is not so very might after all. Speaking of Google I do believe that I still haven't had them approve me for Adsense. At one time they gave me a trail run but afterwards I don't know if they approved me or not and if Hubpages has me down for Adsense. How do I find out????
you should have a message in your email about the status of the application. Or I "think" but I'm not absolutely sure since it's been years since my application, you'll be told that your account is still being processed if you use the same details to apply again. Took me three tries by the way, to get my application approved.
Gypsy Rose Lee, You will also need to add your Google Adsense ID at Hubpages when you are approved. If you haven't been approved, you should try again.
Well, they started filtering our decent websites b/c of A,B,C,D,E epsilon, omega, delta and so whatever else, so now people have filtered out their money-grubbing ways.

Hi guys,For a while I've been using Google's Keyword Tool to research high-paying keywords and their estimate monthly traffic. Normally, what I do is that I look for Low competition keywords with around 1,000 monthly searches, and less than a million results in Google Search, then I look at the...

Can someone explain to me in plain English what competition means with regard to us?It says there that it gives an indication of how many advertisers are bidding for a keyword. But what does that mean?I always thought high competition meant that too many webpages are after the same keyword, but now...

Hi all!I've searched around the forums and haven't found an answer to this one, so I thought I'd post a question here for those hubbers who have more experience at keyword research than I...When I do research using the Google Keyword Tool, one of the fields shown is a green bar called...

I still see many people making incorrect assumptions about the way competition works. Just to clear that up:1. High Competition in the Google keyword planner is GOOD (because advertisers pay more for clicks). There is NO easy way to find how competitive Google results are in the Google keyword...

I have a topic that I researched in Google keyword tool. There were thre columns- Competition,Global Search and Local Search. WhatI realize from reading other hubbers is that traffic and clicks depend on 'evergreen' topics, knowledge, interest, luck, precise keywords for search engines, satisfying needs...
