A Request to all Believers

   As we approach this election  I would like to say, I have noticed so much strife in our country. I would like to request to all believers a prayer for a time of healing in our country. I have my own political views, but I also love my God and would like to pray for peace.

      Prayer for the country and its leaders is a command from the Lord.. your reminder is wonderful for all of us the end result we are not dependent on an Elephant or a Donkey we are dependent on the Lamb!! Praise the Lord.

      Are you saying you cannot find peace in your heart? Are you saying there is more strife then peace in your country? What is it you are noticing? I don't know where you are from but it sounds pretty sad if strife far outweighs the peace.

   Good idea, Tammy!
   Happy to pray for healing of the divisiveness in our country.
   As long as it's accepted that my vision of my God may not be the same as someone else's vision of my God, or their God/spirit/ascended masters/universal good.
   
   Doesn't make Him/them/it any less valid. Doesn't make my prayer, or anyone else's, any less valid.

            One of my favorite prayers is the Serinity prayer: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen

            Mark, Since I am a believer, praying for peace and the Lord's coming are one and the same...but If you are not a believer maybe you could just hope for a better tomorrow and reflect that through your own daily life...I am not trying to argue with or judge anyone, I want to see a country less divided and more peaceful...

               But "The Lord's coming" has some negative connotations does it not? And - no offense - but have you considered seeing a medical professional? You think praying will do something and you think "The Lord" is coming back? I assume you mean you think the dead gay guy is going to come back to life.

               Because your war mongering threats are what cause much of the division in the first place. The self righteous call to prayer merely reinforces the division.

   My country isn't having an election. I think you were looking for all US Christians, not actually all believers. Good luck with the US election. I've heard from friends how brutal and overwhelming they can be. I lived in the US awhile during an election year Bush was running. Pretty crazy.
