      Killer whales and bottlenose dolphins (although would they even be on the Ark?). Robins. Harpy and golden eagles. Insect-eating bats.

            Robins annoy me in the morning with their pretentious stance and then they pull worms out of the ground. Eagles just have, this cruel look too them, and kill painfully. People also use golden eagles to hunt coyotes and deer. And of course bats are prolific predators of flying insects, which I love.

      There are so many insects I would like to say I wish would've missed the ark, but when it really comes down to it I know I can't. Even the creepiest of little creatures plays a role in its ecosystem.

    Wasps/Bee type creatures, excluding honeybees. I have this irrational thing where even the slightest buzzing sound sends me flying off into the distance. Ugh. Hate them.
    
    That or seagulls. I don't really hate any other animals besides wasps, but seagulls are annoying, pesky creatures.

       Definitely agree with the wasps and bee thing! Am allergic to bee stings so have to be very careful.
       
       Seagulls? I can't actually publish what we call them at sea ( ) but suffice to say they are a constant pain in the posterior and regularly fly right down to take the fish being brought in to the boat as well as making their unique "deposits" on top of us while we are fishing...

             Interesting how the thoughts/beliefs/interpretations can vary so much even in such a (relatively) small geographical area. Maybe goes some way to explaining the wider differences on the Web... I don't know  - but I certainly didn't mean to cause you offence...

                We all know seagulls are dirty messy scrounging whatyemakcallits, but someone told me about the souls thing when my fisherman brother went missing in the Forth of Clyde.
                
                Actually, several did. A lot of Clyde fishermen believe this.
                
                Now, the sounds of seagulls mewling makes me want to cry.

                   I don't fish the West Coast at this time of year (because there's no bloody fish left!) and only fish the North Sea from Arbroath or various parts of Fife.                             The albatross was the bird named in 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' by a poet who couldn't spell, and yes I think there was some reference there as to why mariners should not kill an albatross.
                            
                            It didn't stop those poor lost souls who were going mad with thirst, and of course calamity befell them, as all good stories will tell you about.

                               I think Coleridge may have known what he was doing - The Rime of the Ancyent Marinere was the original title - he wrote it in an intentionally archaic language. Was probably the only poem I enjoyed reading in my English Lit class many years ago!!

    Having gone through an infestation once, let's leave the cockroaches off the ark.

          Only mentioned those two sharks because they are the ones most responsible for human attacks, I have no problem with the majority of sharks. All that said they would have quickly died on the ark anyway because they would have been out of water lol

             Unfortunately both of those sharks are top of the oceanic food chain, and the wiping out of either of them would change forever what happens at sea.
             
             You might have killer tiddlers or even killer jellyfish if it wasn't for sharks.
             
             Probably the same for fleas and mozzies, though I'm struggling to think of anything smaller that could be worse.

    I don't know their scientific name, but I don't really see a purpose for 'no see ums', those teeny tiny insects that make your legs itch like crazy. 
    
    I don't mind sea gulls, in fact, whenever I hear them or see one fly by my work windows (I'm on a second floor with 9 huge windows), they give me a sense of calm and remind me that I live very close to the Gulf.   I love seeing them fly overhead or over the water.  I always have loved the story of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, maybe there's that connection.

    Watched a TV programme recently where they explained that sea gulls are actually just 'gulls, because they actually don't stray that far from land so cannot be considered a true 'sea bird'. We have thousands of them here in Guernsey, and they follow the tractors around as they plough the fields (gulls love worms), plus they scavenge from rubbish sacks left out, and they will 'dance' on lawns to bring the worms to the surface (the worms think it is raining). Bold creatures, but very interesting, (they will quickly learn to 'knock' on glass doors or windows for food if you feed them a few times). I would want them to be on the ark for sure

    I have found that I hate Mice. I live in the country now, and we have a serious mouse problem. I hate going to get underwear out of my dresser, and find the drawer filled with rice. Which means those little bastard have been crawling around in my whites. So, take them all out and wash them, then keep checking for more rice. We also find that they are getting into our kitchen cabinets and into boxes of food. Which explains where the rice comes from.
    
    We recently got a cat, and she seems to catch a mouse every other day. We can't figure out where they are coming from! But, glad the she is disposing of them. But, the other day, I was napping on the sofa and she jumped up onto the couch and dropped a still kicking mouse into my lap. As if I wanted that!

          I saw something very interesting on the news, on one of those science channels. There is actually a treatment now for people with serious wounds and burns using maggots. They have found that maggots, when added to the wound, will only eat the dead skin, and not touch the healthy parts of the skin.
          
          They showed a treatment of one person, who had a horrible burn wound, and they showed the progression of how applying maggots to that wound, brought that persons skin back to normal. No permanent damage at all.
          I found that amazing. Another thing they did in that same hospital was use leeches to cure back pain. And, it also worked.
          
          Now if they can come up with a way for keyboards to work when you want them to, things would be really great!

    This is a great question! I love all wildlife. Everything has a purpose on this planet. I don't think i could choose anything because in all reality it wouldn't work anyways. If there were only two of everything then there would eventually be inbreeding and then mutations, and then everything would be messed up so i would vote for everything not going on the the arch.

       Ladybugs don't eat fabric, plants, paper or any other household items. They like to eat APHIDS. Aphids are very small, but very destructive pest that feed on plants. (If you have rose bushes, you have probably seen aphids.) Ladybugs, while trying to hibernate in your house, live off of their own body fats.

       Why kill most of the dinosaurs who were the most successful  animals who ever lived on earth. I understand killing Politician, Salesman or people of Sodom and Gomorrah.
