I have never really looked into, do you just basically make a video or does it need a lot of accompanying contect?  How do they perform here compared to content only Hubs?

      1) they need just as much content as any other Hub
      2) no better, no worse

Thanks for your comment.  Do you have any video Hubs I could have a look at to get an idea of the standard required?
        Thanks

sorry I could not find any way of posting a new topic on this forum so I am using your thread smile I am unable to get explanations why my hub is not published for more than 48 hours, my emails are ignored. Is there any way I can get help?
it is strange because it was published for 30 minutes and I got the confirmation about it. After this my post was moved to the Needs improvement state. why different moderators think differently? And which kind of rules violation I am facing right now? Not sure which person I should ask for help

If you post the link to the Hub here I can take a look at it and maybe see if there are any obvious reasons why it was unpublished.  Are there any symbols next to the Hub like 'Not Featured - Engagement' or  'Not Featured - Quality'?

Sorry I cannot view it.  Did you write it all yourself or copy and paste?  Was it at least 500 words, spell checked, include properly attributed pictures?

I can't remember who it was, but I do recall one Hubber who was active posting on both Youtube and video Hubs here.   He found that his Youtube videos got far, far more traffic than his video Hubs.

i agree with Wabond - the answer is to create your video, post it on Youtube, then create an ordinary Hub here with your Youtube video embedded.  That way you get two bites at the cherry and some cross-promotion.

I am a newbie here, no doubt about that. However, I decided to join Hubpages from the influence of many other Hubbers actually. I spent quite a bit of time jumping from hub to hub as they popped up onto my Google search results.

From my experience, I never came across a video hub. Believe me when I say this, but I surf the web quite a bit. Heck I'm online for at least 3 hours a day and Googling every few minutes so it looks to me that video hubs just aren't as popular as text articles. Could there be an invisible rule every knows except me? I really don't know, but couldn't hurt to make a video hub and then take it down if it impacts your score in some way, could it?

I tried a few video hubs and found them a waste if time.  You are better to put a video on Youtube and then put it on a hub, with a commentary of what the video is about.

I agree with wabond - I tried a few on HubPages and then decided to upload videos onto YouTube and then link them to my Hubs here.  I get far more views from YouTube.

I haven't had much success with my video hubs.  I only have two, and they haven't amassed 200 views between the two of them.  However, the videos are simply videos of what I am demonstrating on one of my computer monitors.  In addition, they are not on topics that are very popular, so my answer may not be the most helpful for you.

You don't need to have much additional content for the hubs to be featured, but you'll need to have more than just the video.

Thanks for your answer, I guess I will concentrate on content only Hubs and add videos as required.

Don't avoid it based on my answer, there may simply be something behind it I haven't discovered.
