Fed up with "B". I have concluded that the continual crash and burns are just never going to stop. I've given up.

"B" has been around for two years I think. Seems to me some clones should have shown up by now. If anyone knows of any, I would really appreciate hearing about it; either here or privately.

      I know a couple
      postanyarticle(dot)com
      writedge(dot)com
"B" is essentially a forum with ads and images, likes and friends.
I think HP should engage their community better ("B" like to get internal impressions).
I suggested HP replace Q&A with 'Short-Cuts' to do what "B" does but the silence was deafening.

There is a project that I have been mulling in the back of my mind that I think one of your suggestions would be perfect for.

My Hub traffic has really bombed. I think my summer doldrums slaughter has officially begun. Really do need to find second income source; one as good as "B" would be if it didn't have the technical problems.

I am sick of B too, but I can't give up the money I make there. That 2 or 300 really helps me.

paradigmsearchposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Exactly. Same here. My fantasy is as follows...

      1. I sign on to HP every morning and see how much I earned yesterday.
      2. I then go to "B" and round that up to a nice. predetermined daily total amount.

Kind of a nice form of self-discipline there for me. Unfortunately, every time I try to implement it, "B" outright sabotages me. So, I'm hoping I can find another site to do that with.

After several payouts from B, I haven't gotten this last one. I didn't break any rules at all. One nonpayment is enough for me. I've had it, unless if by some miracle is still shows up. It has been 10 days since I submitted, so I should have gotten it.

I think B is easy money when you have a limited amount of time and things to say, but still, I can't be bothered with it. I
believe that's because writing bores me, however. I write all day long for income and to keep the wolves from the door. When it comes to passive income I'd rather paint a daisy, stick it on a product and try to sell it through Zazzle.

Bubblews. A kind of micro blogging site which requires minimum effort but payment is uncertain and requires lots of reciprocal liking and appreciating other's posts.

  10. paradigmsearch profile image61
    paradigmsearchposted 9 years ago

    Mini-rant.

Well, the site was back up and the Notifications actually seemed to be working.

So it suckered me into making another post.

The site instantly turned to cr@p again. In other words, another wasted post again.

I am one of those people that get physically ill when subjected to non-stop, never-ending incompetence. For mental health reasons I am seriously considering just outright banning that site.

There has got to be an alternative out there...

I get sick too. If I did not need the money so bad, I would just walk away and not look back. It is hard to think of long articles to write everyday here. sad I know some can do it but I can't seem to do it without getting sick.

I'm not sure I understand your post. As far as HP goes; they've pretty much always given me that warm, fuzzy feeling. It's that other site that could cause https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Fn36l_z3WY (2 min., 10 sec.).

Oh, I was talking about "B" making me sick and me just wishing I could write articles for HP every single day, maybe even several articles a day. I LOVE this site (HP) , it is my health that makes writing long articles everyday hard. With "B",it is the stress of the site going down and unexpected errors when I think all is working good that causes me sickness from stress. Sorry I was unclear, I can see that after re-reading what I put. *sigh* not always a good writer. LOL and Yes!!! lol On the link. That song is going to be stuck in my head all day now, but that is good. Thanks!

For what it's worth, I don't even try to write a hub in a single day. I'll peck at the thing for a week before publishing. I'm fine with that. My problem is trying to come up with a subject that I think will at least have a shot with Google. The eternal search continues.

Lew Marcrumposted 9 years agoin reply to this

It appears you and I have the exact feelings about this.  I wish I could write one each day, but I always "try" to be a perfectionist about grammar and subject matter, though at times I'm far from successful.  This leaves me with about one a week, or less.

I have no idea if this is in any way representative, but I just checked my Wizzley account after ignoring it since last year, and....

    http://s2.hubimg.com/u/8951283_f248.jpg

    The...heck?

That's six articles, total. They'e pulling in 1000+ visitors a DAY.

So there's another possible alternative with an admittedly very small sample size.

    The sad part?

Somehow my adsense and amazon affiliate codes had disappeared from my settings, so I've been earning nada -- hence my ignoring the site.

...I may have to perform another experiment, seeding an equal number of  new articles on Zujava, Wizzley and my secondary Hub account, and watching what happens. (Zujava usually pays me a piddling $5 every few months, but I'd built exactly six pages there at the same time as Wizzley in 2012 and have left them to percolate. )

    1. paradigmsearch profile image61
paradigmsearchposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Great minds think alike. I have likewise embarked on a similar project. Only difference being that mine will be "B" sized articles, i.e., deemed unworthy by HP, W, and the like.

I'm glad to see someone is getting views on wizzley. its not doing much for me.

      1. Greekgeek profile image78
Greekgeekposted 9 years agoin reply to this

So maybe it's a temporary fluke.

It's interesting how we all tackle the problem differently. For me, I'm looking for truly passive income. I don't mind an initial outlay of a few days' writing, editing and effort, so long as the page can attract whatever visits it's going to attract and hold its position without my having to go back to it unless I really have new information to add (and nowadays I try to focus on evergreen topics that don't require updates).

Also, I try to figure out how and where to publish the kinds of things I'm inclined to write anyway so that they will be the most successful -- in terms of earnings and visitors -- without my being embarrassed by overly aggressive advertising or butt ugly site design.

  14. paradigmsearch profile image61
    paradigmsearchposted 9 years ago

And speaking of "B", they are once again inaccessible as I make this post. I've written them off. They are now priority level zilch on my daily to-do list. What's the point of making posts there when neither my Connections nor search engine visitors can access them? The revenue from my last two posts was truly pathetic. Oh, well.

The site is down again this AM.  I am disillusioned, disappointed, disgusted, and disenchanted.  Why don't they get a better server?  Can you imagine if HP went down like B???

    Thelma Albertsposted 9 years ago

B is really annoying. How can we ever post, read and interact with our fellow bubblers if the site keeps on going down? Well, the positive thing for this is, I have much time reading here in HP.

    1. Cynthianne profile image61
Cynthianneposted 9 years agoin reply to this

It is STILL down! Ugh....I feel like I am wasting my time there. Wizzley?  I have never heard of that site.

  16. Solaras profile image94
    Solarasposted 9 years ago

I was able to log in long enough to see that I had earned a dollar since my last log in 10 days ago.  Now Error 504.  Nothing can be done on that site. And early articles that I wrote there that ranked on page one and two for Google searches are now relegated to oblivion.

  17. Greekgeek profile image78
    Greekgeekposted 9 years ago

For what it's worth, I misread those Wizzley stats. It was 1288visitors/7d not 1d. (I have dodgy eyesight.)

So it's closer to 100-200 visits a day for 6 articles, up from almost nada. I'm still curious about the jump, but it's no longer a case of, "Great heavens, maybe we should be paying more attention to Wizzley."

  18. aingham86 profile image72

If you like the shorter articles, Daily Two Cents is a relatively new site that requires 100 words minimum for a post. I've been there for a month now, and really enjoy it. The site is still new, but climbing in rank. The earnings are pay per view. Not the same scale as B, but definitely has the potential.
