I want to contact hubpages to ask why my hub needs improvement. One hub I had received a 51 and was still featured, yet another received a 54 and 'didn't meet rating standards'. I would like to know why. Yet I can't find anyway to contact staff here. Othere then the FAQ forum there is no extra assistance from the staff themselves as to what is wrong with the hub other than 'it doesn't met rating standards'? How am I supposed to know what to fix?

Just go through the HP help wizard link given to you by relache. It's a great place to start. Best of luck!

Why can't I upload from Firefox? Which browser is the best to upload from.

        platinumOwl4,
I use Google Chrome too. I have used it since I signed on. I have Windows 7.

Doesn't help or answer my question. I want to email an actual person not go through a link. That doesn't tell me facts are wrong or if the content isn't right. Why is it not possible to contact actual staff regarding questions?

Yeah, list of names for actual human being contacts would do wonders for bringing a little warmth to this place, wouldn't it? Heck, just one real name would be nice. The designation: "TEAM" just doesn't impart that general ambiance that somewhere a real, live, breathing member of the human race is taking us seriously.

Here is the list of HP Staff members:
        http://hubpages.com/about/team

You can go to their profile page and send any of them an email, Paul Edmondson and his wife Robin are the main bosses. I frequently contacted them in the past and have always received prompt, friendly, and helpful replies.

It's kind of strange that there is not a 'hey email us here for direct questions' is all I'm saying. Seems kinda cold and unfriendly overall.

Thanks Sue. I had no idea this page existed.

Thank you. I did try the hub help pages. I don't think it's grammar, but I don't know if it is grammar, content or what and the hub helps don't answer those questions.

I've only contacted them once before on another matter, but they got back with me within a day or two, IIRC.

Just a suggestion: If you don't get a satisfactory, specific answer, make some minor edits and send it through again. If it doesn't pass that time, do more of an overhaul and put it through again. Might work.

Hi, I looked over your hub about culinary hacks and the only thing I noticed was one or two grammatical errors.  Also, I have found that my score is low on my very short hubs.  It is recommended to write 1150 words to create a  "Stellar Hub."   Also this link may help to find other areas that could bring your hubs up to the quality you would like: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Elem … tellar-Hub

    Hope that helps smile

I did make edits and it was still not approved, even though the score went up on the article? I'm overall confused now on how articles are processed. If culinary hacks can get approved with minor edits then what is wrong this one? Cause I've looked over it repeatedly and haven't been able to spot anything. Plus like I said, the score went UP instead of down. Is it subject matter? (The topic is science and the paranormal) or what more? That's what I'm trying to figure out. And a 'how-to' article doesn't seem to be helping much with that, which is why I opted to try for direct contact instead.

If you had used the help wizard, it would have told you how to contact the admin team.

By the way, you may find their backlog is worse than usual as we are heading into a long holiday weekend, and they all take off for days.

All it kept giving was information on hub ratings and writer guildlines and learning centers. I saw nothing about contacting hubpages personally.

    Hi Meg,
I just sent you a long email with comments on Culinary Hacks, thinking that was the hub that failed to pass. Actually I am surprised it did pass the standards.
Anyway, since the second hub is not visible to us, you may be able to use some of the hints I sent you for your second  hub as well as improving the existing one.

    Good luck,

Well, I'm excited to say that my hub got accepted. I still don't know what was wrong with it the first time, but oh well I guess. Not only was it accepted, the score on it has risen 10 points since it was accepted.

Platinum, I've been using Google Chrome, and it seems to work pretty well. If you go to Google, there should be a prompt for Google Chrome. I hope that helps. --Blessings!
