Unreasonable Violation Requests: Should I delete the article?

   As some of you know I've been trying to get a book review out of violation and being unpublished. I removed all the links they requested.  However I got another message telling me to do these things:
   1. Remove the full title of the book because it's unrelated.
   
   The words are the full title of the book: "Living the Psalms: Encouragement for the Daily Grind"
   
   2. Remove the description of what the book does in teaching lessons to follow:
   
   This describes how he breaks down the Christian book. They said remove this:  "Charles Swindoll walks us through 26 of the psalms where the writer such as King David, falls into the same situations you and I deal with, yet he found a way out through learning to fellowship with God."
   
   3. This is the link to the book so they can purchase it. If I remove the link there is no other link on the site for them to be directed for the product:  "Living the Psalms: Encouragement for the Daily Grind"
   
   4. People want to know what forms it is available in now that eBooks and audio are so popular. They said to remove this: "Also available in: eBook, audiobook CD"
   
   I describe how each lesson is formatted just like any teacher would do. They said remove this: "Each lesson begins with the scripture and then the lesson. It is followed with questions that help us focus on where the issue really lies and how to correct it."
   
   If I remove this link and the description I might as well not have this article here.
   
   5. The inside for living link is the author's website. I have no affiliate with this person only reviewed the book. They said to remove this:  "You can read more about author Charles Swindoll and his work at www.insight.org"
   
   Without these things there basically isn't an good review of the book, and no one can link to get it.
   My question is should I remove the article?

         Book reviews just don't seem to work here when you write as a teacher would view them.  My score have dropped dramatically every time I updated my reviews, especially my Christian articles.  Thanks for your opinion paradigm.

      This is utterly ridiculous.   You certainly need to reply to the email and say, "This is a review of a book.  If I remove all references to the book, how can it be a review?"   
      
      I'm curious though, because I can't see ANY book reviews on your profile.   Are they in the right category?   
      
      Question:  What is the title of the Hub?   Do you use the words "book review" in the title so it's clear you are reviewing that specific book?  I can't imagine how it's not clear that it's a review but the only way I can interpret the email is that HubPages think you're writing about something else, not the book.

         It was a transfer article so no I didn't have the words book review in the title.  I see it is a must for future reviews.

      I'm finding articles with scripture are difficult to put through these days.  It could be because they are all over the web.

   favored, I don't know what to say except perhaps it is time to take the page off HubPages and try a different venue.
   
   I've been slowly but surely moving all of my "unfeatured" and "violating" hubs either to my own websites (which have been doing fine with google, thank you) or to wizzley, which doesn't seem so determined to lock down any and every article which dares to promote a related product. You might want to look into it if you haven't before.

      I've been advised to do what you have suggested and am taking measures to do so.  The book review articles are time consuming and I don't want them torn apart bit by bit.

   Favored, I have seen many book reviews here on HP and there seems to be no problem with putting a link to the book or a site where one can buy it. Write to HP and ask for a review. I hope you get this resolved.

   When did HP start providing step by step guidance on what needs to be removed??
   
   Looking at the many other threads that people have posted everyone usually complains that they don't know why their hub is not published and they are looking for help from everyone here...
   
   Yet this user has step by step instructions as to what to remove from HP???? Is this new? or?????

      I don't know, but the guidelines we're the problem actually. If I was in violation I was glad to fix the article, even though I disagreed with the policy.
      
      It was getting the links to go away when I removed them.  The buggers kept showing up as if I hadn't done anything.

      I know it was hard for people to relate to what was happening because no one could see it. If sure would have helped if fellow hubbers could have seen it; they would have picked up on the problem I'm sure.

            Just checked. I already have it on that setting, so I guess I answered my own question. Yes, they can still unpublish an article.

               Your article wasn't edited, it was moderated, so that setting makes no difference.
