Why my Hubberscore keeps losing 1 point everyday?

There has been like 2 weeks that my hubberscore every single day lowers by 1 point. I have removed the videos and amazon links, but nothing happened. I have got two other accolades by now and I also have readers who put thumbs up on my posts and it does not seem to affect my hubberscore either.
The funny thing is that my hubscore is 22 points higher than my hubberscore! How is this even possible?

For your score to be this low you must have violations on at least some of your hubs and/or you've been going overboard following lots of people.

Open each hub to see if there are any warnings at the top.

I have checked them all, I have also checked the violations in the settings tabs, but no violation at all for a long time.

I think it is probably from following a lot of people all at once. It will lower your score. There has to be some kind of interaction with the people you follow; reading their work, commenting on it, etc. Generally, following too many people at once over a short period of time, is bad for Hubber score.

I remember this thread you posted 7 days ago asking "Why does my hubscore and hubberscore keep falling?"  http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/130808

Maybe you should try raising your hub scores?

If you have any clear losers, low-scoring hubs that don't get views, perhaps you could delete them? I've been doing that with hubs that score below seventy and don't get views, taking them down, rewriting them substantially and posting them elsewhere or maybe even here in a few cases.

Also, if you have any hubs with fewer than 1250 words in them, you can research the topics just a bit and add a few new pieces of information to each to make them more substantial.

Unless a hub is under a month old, I find its hubscore almost invariably increases when I add a few sentences, tweak my grammar, or replace less interesting photos with more interesting ones.

I just looked at one of your Hubs, and I'm going to give my theory of what's wrong from that one.

    The Hub I picked is http://engelta.hubpages.com/hub/How-to- … n-Hubpages

    - The URL says something about how to raise your HubScore to 80.  The actual title of the Hub is "What you do not know about Hubpages earnings"
    - The category that Hub is filed under is Maximizing Google AdSense Revenue.

The Hub does not actually tell you how to raise your HubScore to 80.  It talks about participating on HubPages and Hubberscores but never connects the two.  And, this info is way out of date to how the site is working and scoring things now.

The Hub does not explain about HubPages earnings.  In fact, no part of the Hub discusses money at all.  Having this title is bad for your Hub.

The Hub does not discuss maximizing AdSense revenue.  It is bad for your Hub to be in the category that it is in.

The products you are offering on your Hub are not relevant, they are not necessary and important for what you are writing about.  They are not about HubScores or earnings on HubPages, and you don't explain why they are necessary.

If your other Hubs have just as many similar problems, that's probably why you are seeing your account scores slide so much.

I was experimenting in this hub to know how scores would change. Thank you for the insight! I am taking down this one!
You always give great advice, thanks

On "How to ask for forgiveness?" I checked the "How to approach a problem?" text on Plagiarism Checker.

        Results: 0% Unique Content
The content already exists somewhere else on the web.

ohh,, for a moment you made my heart skip a beat!!!
of course they appear existing and 0% unique content. WHY? because that text is in MY hub! That is why! It is already online, because it is in my hub which is already written and published.

I'm fairly sure he did copy it from you, grammar mistakes and all.  That may be a large part of your problem.  I know someone suggested a good proof reader to you in an earlier thread.  You really should get one.

I checked and even the 'original sentences' lead to my hub as well. I think that happens because some typical phrases may be used by everybody so the plagiarism checker does not take them into account when checking.

I suggest emailing to ask the hubstaff for guidance.  But I suspect you might be getting dinged for "spam"-like product listings.

Run the Civil Law and Common Law through Copyscape and you see 2 sites where each contains 35 percent of the content in that hub, word for  word.  You cannot go to Internet and copy from this site and that site, and another site, then paste it into your hub with maybe a paragraph of your own words.

Engeltaposted 8 years agoin reply to this

That is my content which is copied !! Because I can detect when I have written something myself.. This must be the problem of my low hubberscore :S What can I do ? hmm

  6. LindaSmith1 profile image60
    LindaSmith1posted 8 years ago

Copyscape is not expensive at all.  Worth the investment. You can run your text through it and find out where your content is elsewhere on the Internet, percentage, and it will even give you URL of where the duplicate content is.  Then you file DMCA reports if they copied your work rather than vice versa.

Well, thank you.. I am checking all my hubs now. This was not needed sad

Engelta: You can shout that from the rooftop and it serves no purpose. Bottom line is that you have duplicate content in your hub, a lot of it.  If somebody has copied your work, you need to file DMCA.  Somewhere along the line HP filters will pick it up, then they will unfeature it for duplicate content.
