On November 15, 2015, after a long illness, Bubblews died. It's death was quiet and unexpected, although it had been ailing for sometime.
Bubblews was born in 2012 to be an online writing Ponzi to end all online writing Ponzis. It came into life, promising to pay 1c per view, 1c per like. It's first payment threshold was $25, which was quickly obtained due to the fact that its members wrote their fingers off.
Paying each member that first 'redemption' created thousands of zombies, willing to defend Bubblews with all the mindless vengeance of ISIS.
These Zombies went all over the 'Net inviting people to join Bubblews, and when they were paid, they turned into Zombies.
Although reported as a scam within six months of its Birth, Bubblews continued to grow. No matter how many thousands of people complained, there were always zombies shouting..."The reason you weren't paid was because You Broke The Rules!"
None of the Zombies knew that payment/non payment was more of a coin toss, for after 50% of the revenue gained from Ads was taken, there was often only enough to pay about 25% of all contributors.
In May 2015, it was clear that Bubblews has contracted a fatal illness, but this was kept from the public by it's caregivers, Arvind Dixit and Jason Zuccari, who laboured to produce another child, and in June attempted to adopt Sweeble.
By October of 2015, Bubblews was on intensive care, and Arvind and Jason had abandoned it.
It passed away quietly on November 15, and is survived by Arvind Dixit and Jason Zuccari who are labouring to find another Ponzi.
It will not be mourned.
Creative post, thank you for taking the time to write it. I caught the golden days on Bubblews and earned very well till things took a turn on me and they decided to not pay my last two claims. It was fun while it lasted. I have friends who were still there till the end and were still reaching pay-outs, but I suppose they can kiss whatever was in the bank away now.
I never got any golden days; I joined, I got the 1st redemption, put in for the 2nd, never got it...walked away. The threshold went up to $50; I think I had $38 in the account...did some comments, some likes. got to $50...got it...and sat back.
My account was at 2c for months...it reached 4c before the bub died.
Personally, Arvind is a good man I think. Yes he got swept into greed etc. But his heart is pure.
Bubblews may be gone but the bad memories will live on...

No real surprises, I guess. Arvind, CEO of Bubblews, confirmed today what many of us have said in the past:Extract from Arvind talking to Bubblews users:"I have already explained that the value in your bank was not tied to our advertising revenue. I'm not going to rehash that, or why it...

I think the main thing that killed Bubblews was greed. It's that plain and simple. Arvind wanted to make quick bucks, so he had allowed unethical advertisements on his website's pages. He made some money, but he lost the trust and loyalty of his authors and readers. Ultimately, we all know what...

Are you willing to give Bubblews another chance?

I decided to join Bubblews a month ago. I didn’t want to put too much effort into it because a lot of people were grumbling about not getting paid. So I wrote approximately 1 post a day and resolved to stop once I hit $25 to see if they would pay. All the photos were accredited properly, nothing...
